I don't usually like light beer, but this is one of the best tasting light beers out there.

If I was forced at Gunpoint to drink light beer then I guess I would probably choose this over those piss-tasting American light Beers. It has more flavor than your Bud or Miller, but overall it is a pretty bland and unexciting brew.

Tasteless and bland piss. I don't care if it only has 95 calories.

Amstel Light is much better than American light beers, but I really do not think it is worth the price. I will drink this if it is offered at a place with a sub-par beer list, but for the most part there are better beers out there. It is light, but has a bit more flavor (good flavor) than American light beers.

Should probably be in a "light beer" category where it would be at or near the top of the list. Sam Adams Light is no doubt a better beer but it acomplishes the bigger flavor with another 25 calories and higher abv. So if you are looking for a tasty, light beer and money is no object, here you go.

Not sure how they characterize this as light, it's a good, flavorful, full-bodied beer.

It gets an extra star for the correct spelling of the word "Light" but, as an import, it wasn't really worth the trip.

It's like Heineken with less taste. Not offensive, but is it really beer?

Amstel Light is one light beer with character. It is too expensive for me to choose it over Michelob Light, or my favorite light beer Schaefer Light.

Amstel is a nice Dutch beer, hard to believe that it is 'light.'

No beer is really bad unless it is spoiled. That said, I do not like Amstel Light although I would say the same about all light beers.

Why pay a premium for a beer that's nothing special?

Unspectacular in almost every way. If I were stuck on light beers, I'd probably give it more of a shot.

Its not great and its not horrible. I would buy a six of it, and see if u like it. Its not for everyone, but some love it and others hate it.

Typical European premium lager.  Thin bodied, watery and unremarkable.

God-awful. I was at Applebee's one day and decided I had never tried this one, so I gave it a shot...it was absolutely disgusting. One sip was more than I could handle. Thankfully the waiter was cool and brought me something else instead, without charging me for that piss water.

I went with drinkable, even though I never drink light beer (look at my belly if you don't believe me). Anywho... for a light beer it is very drinkable and has some flavor.

I drink probably 2 beers a month and both are Amstel. I was surprised to find out that it is the light beer of Heineken. I knew both were from Holland and they have similar labeling but I never made the connection.

Joe and Joanne Worker beer when they feel above Bud Light. Sorority girls drink this. nothing special except the extra buck you'll pay. do yourself a favor and get a Heineken instead.

This is my favorite out of ALL the beers. I drink this the most. It is good for almost any occasion, it tastes awesome, goes down smooth, never has a bad aftertaste. It makes you feel good, and it helps keep the beer belly stay away. This beer is a must if you are single or courting. I have never been hungover from this beer, and never suspect I will get a hangover from it. I recommend it out of all the beers !

I'm only giving it a 5 because I'm treating it in a separate class from non light beers that are far superior. For a Light it's damn good.

Gotta love the advertisments. 3 guys slapping themselves in the head will always get a laugh. As far as the beer. Good, not great as a general beer. As a LIGHT beer (which should only be for women and lightweights) it is really good. Good taste and if you're watching the carbs, take off the label and enjoy!

The best light beer ever!!! Goes down real easy and still has a good "beer" taste. A little pricey but still great. Well worth the price. Highly recommended!

This is easily one ot the best light beers I have ever had, and the only light beer I will order. Good flavor, a light beer worth note.

I never choose "light" beer due to its lack of taste, but when there is no other choice I thank the Dutch for Amstel because it is Top Dick in the world of light beer.

The best tasting light beer around. Doesn't have the flatness of other lights. You'll be surprised by the body. A very cool, crisp taste.

Amstel Light is in my top three along with Heineken. They might even count as one beer since Heineken makes Amstel light and they taste very similar. Amstel has become my safety net. Like when you go up to the bar, and the bartender asks what you want but you haven't thought about it and haven't had a chance to see what they have, well, Amstel is what I say when I go blank. It is a great way to start out the night. It is light so you don't get too full and bloated. Another all time favorite beer of mine.

ALWAYS skunked, and ALWAYS overpriced. If a date of mine orders this overhyped, foul tasting beer, it's an immediate two strikes against her. Not that I'm superficial or anything... Anyway, Europeans should not be brewing light beers to begin with - it just doesn't make any sense. And if you taste this sorry ass beer you will understand why.
