Ambit Energy

Hello everybody, want to share my skepticism about the root of such business promotion. In fact, I need any job to support my family right now. I have my own small business for 10 years and current web site, small home office, etc., etc. What I'm looking for is a clear understanding about that promoted residual income and the nature of all those bonuses Ambit Energy used to promise to everybody. Let me say in advance I’m not a stock broker, not a bounty hunter and not a gambler, just regular human used to work hard for success. So let's just look at a simple math leaving beyond their executive's general like soap bubble phrases. To be “family welcomed” you have to invest $429.00 initially + $25.00 for (I have no idea the purpose) another web site I have to pay monthly for. I started doing my homework on energy companies in the New York City area and found several.Based on the recommendation of a friend that told me to check out Ambit,I did.To my suprise,I did not feel like I was being sold a product.The consultant basically just gave me a quick,simple understanding of how m???? electric,and gas bill worked.I started seeing the savings right away.It wasn't a lot,but every little bit helps.I also loved the fact that They gave me big incentives for trying the service out for free.Since then,I have referred my cousin,and pig-headed dad to get their service as well.(Lol)Both seemed satisfied.Kudos to Ambit for their efforts!

Can't say enough about them.Don't think I will ever switch back because my savings have been consistant since day 1.It's been 13 months since starting with them.

A very simple concept.I liked the fact that even though I swtiched,nothing changed as far as my service.Monthly savings is great too.

I had been with Con Edison for years.I had someone from Ambit Energy explain to me what deregulation was all about.They explained to me how although I would continue getting billed by Con Edison for my delivery charges,that I would be saving money on my supply cost.I never got a seperate Ambit bill,so nothing changed for me.To my amaze they also sent me 2 vacation vouchers in the mail,for my wife and I to take a 3 day / 2 night free hotel stay vacation.We went to Las Vegas! I am not certain,but I believe any bad reviews that you may find on this site are either from people who don't pay their bills on time,or Ambit Energy's competitors.From my understanding,they are the only company in NY that gaurantees their customers a savings over a 12 month period! No one else does this,so I'm sure their competitors are hating.Don't be fooled.Try this service for yourself.I have been sold,and happy to buy from Ambit.

I am probably one of those people that hates change.It took a few phone calls from an Ambit representative to finally convince me to switch.I think the only reason why I tried it is because I hate paying so much money to Con Edison.I was reluctant but tried it anyway.I joined the company almost a year ago and started seeing the savings right away.It lowered my bill by about 15% overall.I also suggest taking advantage of the free website they give you to track your monthly usage,and definately look into the free hotel stay trips! I have so far referred about 6 of my friends to switch,and understand am entitled to another free hotel stay trip! Can't say there is a perfect energy company out there.But I'm sure I will be with Ambit for a long time to come.Try it and see for yourself.Nothing to lose,and you can always switch back.

We live in NY, my father is 84 years old, he received a phone call from the energy company to confirm his mailing address, he confirmed it, and next I received an e-mail of congratulations because we choose to change the energy company. My father and I called to customer service Ambit Energy 1-877-282-6248 and they cancel the transfer. Next day I received another e-mail that the service will be activated in one week. By real, I know people wants to make money but this salesman Joseph Zentil need and Ambit Energy are not doing honest business. I had to invest 2 hours of my time calling them, cancelling the service, calling the electricy company and gas company and adding blocks to the services changes. I really do not appreciate this kind of problems.

Ambit Energy is a network marketing business, this however doesn't make it legit or a scam. Although many people would say it is a scam because it is network marketing this is not the case. Have people forgotten about Amway or Mary Kate? Those are also network marketing business however everyone knows they are legit. Thus it isn't the mere fact that it is network marketing that makes it legitimate or not, it has to do with the leaders how the company works and how people get paid, along with how the customers get treated. Ok im pretty sure that you dont know this about ambit energy untill it happens to u. And when u call to sign up with them, they dont tell u exactly how this company works. But i will! They have a customer charge, u will be charged $9.99 extra every month if u use less than 1000 kw and if u get disconnected for non payment they charge u a deposit of $125 plus dusconnection $15 plus reconnection $50 plus whatever amnt u got disconnected n if that happens on a friday u will get reconnected till monday. Deposit on a house could go up to $450 o and also if u get disconnected, when u get reconnected they placeu on the ambit standard plan for 6 months and its not a fixed rate so it can go up to almost 19 c kw. And this company will not offer extentions on bill payments.. If u need more time they offer a payment plan and u have to pay $20 extra ...

!!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!! Despicable service! I have had the worst experience imaginable with this company. They lost record of two of my payments, double billed me, AND sent the amount to collections effecting my credit before this was cleared up. I paid both of these amounts on time and had to spend days and hours of headache clearing the matter up, finally cleared things up with a copy of my bank statement showing a picture copy of the check made out to ambit energy cashed on the correct date. The customer service is ABHORRENT!! AWFUL! everytime i had to call customer service for any reason regarding my existing account I was on hold for 15-30 minutes. Only was my call promtply answered when i chose the automated response indicating I was a new customer. When I did speak with a repersentative of the company they were uhelpful, unknowlegeable and on one occasion tacitile. I also still have not receive the cruise and flyer miles promised me at sign up. AMBIT IS GOOD, IF YOU USING CON EDISON RIGHT NOW, PLEASE SWITCH TO AMBIT ENERGY IF YOU WANT TO $AVE YOUR $$$ AND FREE TRAVEL YOU CAN GET. For years I have been with Reliant, I am going to use Reliant as a comparison vs Ambit Energy because these are the only two companies I have experienced. Ambit energy is a rip off, it is not true that you will save money in any way. From mid (15th) September when I started to the end of September (which is half a month) I received a bill for $77.00, where as when I was with Reliant my average MONTHLY billing would be around $50.00. Ambit Energy was charging me average billing, but check this out, the total always came out around $140.00 no matter how careful you use your electricity. Ambit Energy is full of $#&^@. After 5 months of being with them I canceled their service and went back with Reliant, but what do they do? they took me off from the average billing to charging by electric usage plus fee's which made the bill $370.00...
