12/1/11 We have been with Allstate for approximately 18 years out of the 20 years that we have had insurance. We have all of our rental property, cars and personal property insured with Allstate. We have had one claim with our rental property when a limb fell on our property. They only paid us $500 and we had to get out and find someone to fix it for that price. We recently discovered a vandalism to our property on 11/31/11. Our HVAC is not working because they tore out the copper and damaged wires and it is 30 degrees at nite here in Chicago. We reported the crime and was called the next day by a Rob, an internal estimator. He started off the conversation and asked me about my delay in giving the representative my policy number. I asked what has when the rep got my policy number got to do with anything ( I did not have the policy # in my hand when I called, I was upset about the vandalism and just called to get my problem resolved quickly( or so I thought), I gave her my na... The service from allstate is absolutely terrible. I had a situation with them where they do not return your calls, no one is responsible or has ownership. If you are a woman or do not know much about cars, do not get Allstate. You will be in terrible hands.

Like all insurance companies, it matters who you agent is. My Allstate Agent is John Hoerber. He and his staff have always provided my husband and I with exemplary customer service. John provides annual reviews of all our insurance and as a result, we have referred many of our friends to his agency.

If you hate Allstate and interested in brining the company down within legal limit. please contact me. [email protected] and I found out the address to the president of allstate if you want to complain directly to the president. Allstate insurance ocmpany Suite E6s 2775 sanders road north brook illinois 60062 You may be familiar with the popular advertising campaigns that abound on television and other mass media. There’s a good reason for this plethora of commercials. The automobile insurance industry is a huge, highly profitable business. Nearly every automobile owner in the United States is required to own such insurance if he or she owns, leases, or rents a car. Therefore, competition for the consumer dollar is fierce. It would seem that on the surface at least, the major insurance providers would attempt to provide good customer service to maintain a positive reputation. My experience with Allstate Insurance Company, specifically its Allstate Motor Club, indicates o... Read more

I had an accident about a month ago and I thought it would make me go broke. After the accident, the agent told me that they would replace my car and my rates would not go up! Accident forgiveness saved me. They have helped me so much. You can call 877-504-6039 to get in contact with Allstate.

They are worse than Terrible. Horrid. Outrageous. After four decades they are the absolute worst because they refuse to pay out claims to serious accident victims. They send you to countless "ALLSTATE-paid" doctors who don't care about patient welfare whatsoever and give you the runaround for many years. Completely useless. They should all go back to their all-states and leave Canada alone, since they refuse to honor claims in Canada. Change their name to ALL-Shame. Makes more sense. They never forget to demand premiums that always increase.

I have Allstate but not for long. They are very poor at paying claims. They only pay a percentage of their own estimates of damage. I was hit by an uninsured driver. Allstate sent me a check for the damage and then through a clerical error sent me to collections for the amount of damage. They also failed to notify the state that I had insurance at the time of the accident. My license was suspended until they sent in the proper paperwork.

I have many policies ( multiple auto, trailer, boat, umbrella, home, rentals, vacation cabin) with Allsnake. My homeowners unexplicably went up 30% this yr. but none of my rentals which have way more exposure! Iquestioned my agent and he said it was because of all the foreclosures and people walking away from their homes. so I have to make up for his losses.? I called the State insurance commissioner and they told me to contact Allsnake's head office in Ohio. The head office said they couldn't do anything and that I should contact my agent! I haven't had time to change Companies yet, but just a week ago, they sent me a letter stating that they were going to raise my homeowner's policy AGAIN! I cannot believe this! I have been with them for 6 yrs and have never made a claim. before that I was with safeco and had No problems I looked into pursuing a claim about 6 weeks ago due to a window washer scratching $7,000 worth of windows with a razor blade, but they told us it would insta... We lost our house in Feb 2010. Allstate calculated our premiums based on their formula for over 200 K. When it came time to rebuild, they only wanted to pay 50 K. We have since retained a lawyer. Y'know, we were lucky to live through it. Our house was totaled, and Allstate pulls this ? DON'T buy Allstate !

They dropped us after years and years of coverage without any claims. Their reason: New York City faces unacceptable hurricane dangers. We ended up elsewhere with better coverage for less cost.

I bought my Allstate auto insurance via their online site. Didn't have a bit of trouble getting a policy on 3 vehicles. Quick and easy. A week and a half later I received a letter indicating Allstate had canceled the policy. No reason was given, only that the policy had been canceled. They did however graciously enclose an agents number to contact, should I like to discuss writing another policy. What was wrong with the first one? My curiosity peeked, I called. The agent at first did some dancing as to why the policy might have been canceled in the first place. But when pressed he stated that when Allstate contacted the DOT for my husband's history, the DOT couldn't match his name, "Greg", with what's on record, "Gregory." All other information matched. Meaning, the same address, same SS#, and birth date, etc.. Apparently the profound difference between Greg and Gregory was just too much for them to rectify, however. Hmmm? He then told me he'd write another policy, but ... Read more

I wouldnt give them any stars. I also work in a body shop and they will butcher your car. THEY FIGURE EVERY PIECE OF JUNK PARTS THEY CAN FIND. AND THE AJUSTERS THAT COME TO THE SHOPS ARE RUDE AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX A CAR. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO NOONE.I HAVE HAD FARM BUREAU FOR 21 YEARS AND HAVE WORKED IN A BODY SHOP FOR 18 YEARS AND LOVE DOING WORK FOR THEM.ALLSTATE IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY TO DO WORK FOR.

I have had Allstate for 25+ years, and could not be more disappointed in what they have done to me and my family. Very heartless with lying representatives/employee's. Clark Howard from CNN has the list of the worst Insurance companies, Allstate is listed as #1, imagine that. If someone hits you it would be best to die with this company, at least you won't have to deal with them. The sad part is that it was the other drivers fault.

I have never heard of a better insurance company, when people hear my story about them they cant believe it. i have had a very colerful driving history, one car totaled because of black ice. Allstate paid me $1000 more than the car was worth within a couple of weeks. and my rate went down the next period. Then i got two speeding tickets. My rate went down again because of vehicle aging. Then someone hit me and their insurance company tried to say it was my fault when he did not have his headlights on at night and his breaks didnt work and he was going 55 in a 25. Allstate sent them a nasty letter and we got a check from the other company in week. My rates have never gone up, only down. Their customer service has been fast and easy. Now heres the kicker.... im 19 and still pay $140 a month to register a mercedes after all of this. True story!

Allstate, in a quest to make large profits for their stockholder, has forgoten what they sell. Service! They are a service company. If their service is poor, they provide nothing of value. The quality of their service continues to fall, while the price they charge continues to rise. If you provide good service, profit will follow. I am one of their insureds. My rates have doubled even though I have had no claims against the policies. As a consumer, its time for me to look for a company that provides what it promises. The Good Hands are picking my pocket!

About 3 weeks ago I received a general quote in the mail from "Allstate" agent Thomas F. Hoffman that quoted me a home owners insurance premium of $258.72 and I thought "this sounds good, it is so much cheaper than what I have through Liberty Mutual". Therefore I called Thomas F. Hoffman and proceeded to give him all the information that his system required to give back an accurate premium quote, based upon specifics of the our house and neighborhood. Thomas F. Hoffman put this information into the Allstate system and over a day later he calls me back, at which point he sates that our premium will actually be between $210 and $213 (my wife beside me was witness to this). I accept the policy at the rate he stated and proceeded to give him all my banking information and social security numbers to sign for the policy over the phone. The following week I get a printout of our policy and find that Thomas F. Hoffman actually sold us a policy with a premium of $433.81, over TWICE the amount h... Read more

I have been/ was insured with Allstate Homeowners and Auto for 30 + years. Since I never had to make a claim, I thought they were great. A township vehicle rolled down the street and destroyed my Garden shed/Cabana. Since government entities have immunity from this type of claim, I had to file a claim under my homeowners. I had estimates for $12,000 and $12500 for the replacement of the structure. Allstate would not send a claims representative to my property for twenty one days. My contractor advised me to tear down the remaining structure as it was a hazard and could subject me to further liability. Allstate decided that my structure was only worth $3200, (an estimate from their contractor that never set foot on my property). After I retained a Lawyer and Sued , I got what I should have, full compensation. An insurance company should respect and serve their customers....period....good hands????????...bye bye

I work in a body shop and this company uses nothing but used and aftermarket parts on your car! They are also secretly purchasing their own body shops to repair the cars even cheaper by using incorect repair techniques, aftermarket parts, and cheap labor. Watch out before you purchase this insurance it is not cheap in the first place!

I do not have an Allstate policy myself, but recently someone rear-ended my car and was ticketed for wreckless driving. Allstate admitted that their insured did indeed get a ticket and that she rear-ended me, but is still denying my claim. I am in the process of a law suit, and I will win. A former adjuster told me that many insurance companies regularly deny claims to "test the waters" and see if you will drop your claim.

I made a policy change, added my father in law. A few days later I wanted to remove it, because we didn't need it. They wouldn't remove his name without my having to call him, find the name of his current insurance company, the policy number, the dates, etc. All they want is to have him on their policy, so they can make their $10/month. As soon as the year is up, I'm going shopping for homeowner and car insurance policy.

I made the mistake of letting the car dealer whom I bought my car from recommend me to Allstate. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to set up a policy which should have only taken five minutes! The guy didn't know how to type or spell and moved slower than a turtle. And if that wasn't bad enough they pulled up a driving record with a accident on it that never happened and they were the only ones to show that invalid information. After the policy was set up it wasn't any my business with Allstate didn't get any better. I was assigned an agent 30 miles away from my residence even though I had a local office down the street! They told me I would need to send in a written request in order to change the location, ugh! I decided to break this treacherous relationship with Allstate in the first two weeks and switch to GEICO.

Absolutly terrible insurance company. My husband was in an accident and he was in a parked car in a parking lot. This guy came around the corner too fast when it was raining, hit the brakes and slammed into the front of the car. Allstate told us that my husband was at fault because he was on the left. Left of what?? I don't know. How is someone who is in a parked car...legally I might add...he was parked in a corner parking space (backed in)..be at fault??? And on top of that the car was totalled because the frame was bent. I literally have had 10 claims people call my house each saying they are in charge of the claim. Yet when I call them to see what the claim status is no one has any idea. We are paying WAY too much for too long to be messing around with this BS. I had some Joe Shmoe insurance a couple years ago when someone hit my car in the parking lot where I lived and broke one of my tail lights and they fixed it right away with no problems. I think I will go back to t... Read more

Hey Dummy. The other person's insurance company is supposed to pay for your damages, if you get in a wreck and its not your fault. If that person doesn't have inusurance, then you better have Uninsured motorist coverage. Know your policy before you buy.

My Honda was hit in front of my house, with no one driving(!!!), so they paid out $2600 to get the rear end fix. I didn't know any auto body shops, so I went with their recommended body shop - boy, their work sucked even after taking it back THREE times. I gave up after that trying to get the overspray and inferior paint work fixed. I managed to total that Honda within the next year (my fault), and the insurance policy started going through the roof - no surprise there. Their new ads are a joke - do you know who your insurance agent is? Yeah, we'll ream you with the premium.

This insurance agency is a frickin joke. I have been with them through my parents till I was out on my own. I had a minor accident with my truck and a hidden pole in a dark parking lot that put a scrap in my door. I have full coverage and have been a great customer. They inspected it and said I can get a used door from a junk yard and reuse the dented molding. All This on a new truck? I told them they were high and if they didn't foot the bill I would seek my attorney on them. I then got my check in the mail. I've heard that they hate to pay up on claims and dissmissed them till now.
