Complete crap, doesn't do anything at all to relieve the pain and you have to wait 8-12 hours after you take it before you can take another type of NSAID (such as generic Ibuprofen) that actually does work The only thing Aleve is good for is making sure that you're in excruciating pain for the next 8-12 hours. Don't waste your time or money, Ibuprofen works far, far better and costs less. Threw the entire bottle of Aleve in the garbage. The manufacturer should be sued. I don't know how this product has so many positive reviews, probably illegal shilling from the manufacturer, and/or people who are only in "psychological" pain and would have done just as well with a sugar pill. To all the positive reviewers: You are either paid shills, idiots, or liars -- "full of s**t" for trying to mislead people into thinking this works and thus prolonging their suffering.

I love Aleve! I do not know why it is so much better than tylenol, but tylenol damages your liver and upsets your stomach so why would anyone take it? I swear this isn't a commerical, I just cannot believe how good Aleve works. I hate taking pills and I love that I can take 2 and feel better all day! I think every woman should have Aleve during her time of the month, it is the ONLY thing that works for me. Thanks Aleve.

my mom has chronic knee pain, and she's on state medical, which the doctors would care less of her pain. She has been suffering for the longest. And I don't know what to do. She lives in a small area known to over a little 9000 in population, and there is only one clinic for the whole city, which takes a month or so to see the doctor...so I read upon this, I dont' know if aleve will work for her, but her problem is that she doesn't have the enzyme in her knee anymore it's all dried up, it's like bone to bone...no liquid, would anyone recommend this to her.

Effective, just as good as Advil to me. Fast acting and works!

I just got into the aleve craze that my friends were always trying to convert me to :) I finally tried it for, I believe, knee pain. Worked wonders on my joints-sounds awful at my age, but it's true. I keep a bottle in my purse for emergencies; chronic knee pain strikes at any time. I find it works just as well on my headaches too.

I'd give it five stars but Aleve takes forever to go through your bloodstream. It does keep you pain free for half a day, which is pretty good. However, since naproxyn (generic name for Aleve) can have some discomforting side effects, it's best to take it with food. I learned that the hard way when I pulled some tendons in my foot and the DR made me take naproxyn. Since I was used to taking meds on an empty stomach, I figured...how bad can this be? Later on in the day, I would have painful heartburn.

You Americans are soooooo lucky, they don't sell this in Canada. This stuff kicks ass!!! It is an intensely effective pain reliever and actually puts you in a pleasant state of mind. which is what surprises me, i'd have thought there might have been some Oxycontin thing or something with this one.

These work great, but don't buy into that "one tablet" nonsense. I take three and I'm feeling no pain at all.

Aleve has proven to be the best product for me. It is the most effective, longest lasting pain reliever I've found. I'm a healthy person so I can't say how well it works for arthritis or chronic back pain, but I can say from experience that it's the best for common ailments like headaches and cramps. Where other drugs like acetaminophen (Tylenol) fail for tough pain, Aleve works.

The doctor told me to take it for bursitis. Now only did it help immediately, but it also helped my chronic lower back problem. I am very impressed.

Aleve is an excellent pain reliever. Whenever I have a back ache or headache I'll just pop in about 3 aleve pills and I am fine about an hour later. Very helpful.

BE VERY CAUTIOUS !!!!!! Although Aleve may work well for some, I have a for instance where it was nearly FATAL!! My mother was at work and she was having a headache so one of her friends offered her an Aleve. Lucky for her she was at work around a lot of people. Her friend noticed she was feeling ill and had no energy after taking the Aleve. By the time she had went 15 minutes from work to the hospital her heart rate had dropped to nothing and her bp(blood pressure) was 20/50. The doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival but they gave her adrenaline and recessitated her. Imagine if she were by herself? BE CAREFUL !!!!!!

I recently twisted my knee and probably did some slight ligament damage. Before I took two Aleve I was barely able to bend my knee which had some slight swelling. After I took it the pain subsided in 1/2 hour and was completly gone in 1.5 hours. The relief lasted all day. The effect is quickened if you have a cup of coffee within an hour of taking the pills. Worked better than any other non-prescription pain reliever that I have ever taken.

I recently tried Aleve for the first time about a month ago. Not only did it take my headache pain away faster than Advil or Tylenol, it also kept it away a lot longer--at least twice as long. I am definitely sticking with Aleve from now on.

Got rid of the pain, but made me feel really shaky and light headed. Didn't seem worth the risk of the bad reaction when several other pain relievers (Advil, Tylenol, Excederin) work as well.

When I have headaches or back problems, this is the pill I refer to. It takes a while for it to work, but when it gets going there is no stopping it. It doesn't last all day like I hope, but I don't have to take as many as I would Advil.

I've been using it for a long time. It's stronger than any other pain killers that I've taken. It also helps when you have cramps, which is really important.

This makes you feel no pain. Whether it be from cramps, working out, muscle aches, whatever. This stuff works, plus it works for 6-8 hours at a time with one pill.

This pain reliever works much better than Tylenol. It actually works. I don't use pain relievers often but Aleve gets rid of my headache faster and lasts longer than Tylenol.

Aleve doesn't last as long as they say it does on the commercials. It also left me with a slightly upset stomach. All in all I would recommend Tylenol or Asprin.

Aleve is a life saver. It's the only thing that relieves menstrual cramps and is over the counter, not by prescription. The others need too many pills to do the job.

Alleve works right away, and you only need 2 for all day pain relief. Even helps with migrain headaches. Girlfriend even uses it for period cramps, works better than Mydol.
