Wed May 11 2011Alec Baldwin is probably one of the most overrated actors I can think of. The only thing I associate him with it Beetlejuice, and that sucked just like all his other roles. The guy is incredibly pompous, and now is doing Capital One commercials, so he's on even more. Alan Thicke is like Al Pacino compared to Alec Baldwin.

Sat Aug 16 2008No talent hack. I feel sorry for Kim & his daughter for all the hell he's put them through. He should be ashamed of himself but he obviously has no shame whatsoever. Any woman who has anything to do with this chauvinistic pig should have her head examined. He's mean & nasty & will turn on you too if you have anything to do with him. He used to be somewhat attractive, but he's just plain fat & ugly now, not to mention a fat pig in addition to being a male chauvinist pig.

Wed Sep 12 2007He strikes me as an old-school, classically trained type who takes his acting very seriously. People like Jimmy Fallon might be at the other end of the spectrum. Overall, Baldwin's are admirable traits for an actor to have, but he is prone to overacting at times and just approaching some roles with a sort of heavy-handedness in general. But he is perfectly cast in "30 Rock". Truly hilarious.

Fri Apr 27 2007He agreed to name his daughter 'Ireland'. Ireland Baldwin. What do you call her for short, Iry? Imagine if he was Italian...I guess she'd be named Italia. Let's not forget Sailor Brinkley Cook. It's time they check the water & air quality out in the Hamptons, pronto! Hey I'm gonna name my next pet that. Yeah, Pronto, I like that. I'll just blame the water supply on Long Island.

Wed Apr 25 2007Somehow the "Baldwin Cloning Experiment" got out of hand at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. No more Baldwins, please...it's becoming increasingly difficult to tell one from the other, especially since the gene spliced for "acting" didn't completely form.

Tue Apr 24 2007Let's see what kind of roll big Al's on after all this negative PR catches up. If someone approached me as an investor in a film starring Alec Baldwin right now, I'ld literally think they had lost their minds. I wouldn't be caught standing in line for an Alec Baldwin movie, yet alone invest in a project featuring him. It was easy enough to dislike him as a wife beater (poor Kim)..... this just makes it easier still. I'm in new car sales. Let's say it leaked out that I was a child abuser or wife beater,.... do you think you would still come down and buy your next car from me, just because I treated you right on your last car deal? Give me a break! THERE IS NO WAY THAT WOULD HAPPEN!! Why do celebrities get any special breaks?? Personal responsibility is the most lacking trait of humanity in this day and age. Personally, I don't appreciate him using his so-called "celebrity status" to advance his personal agendas and run down America. If he wants to use his status to promote his ... Read more

Tue Apr 24 2007Yeah, he's a jerk, but the crap he gave his daughter is none of our business.

Tue Apr 24 2007This was on the news. He really should not have talked to his daughter that way, but it was not a newsworthy event, and none of anybody's business. I think they put too much of that stuff on. Nobody wants to hear somebody else's dirty laundry aired out on TV.

Tue Apr 24 2007His idiotic and childish voice mail to his daughter is his business, not mine. Whoever leaked it, particularly if it is Kim Basinger, showed a deplorable lack of judgment. Using the kids as your divorce battlefield is a tactic used only by the lowest of the low, which we see almost constantly today. The only thing lower would be to call your 11 year old daughter a "pig." Unimaginable. Your 18-19 year old daughter is fair game, she is an adult. Until then, they are what you (or your idiotic, estranged wife) have made them. Please make this story go away. Aren't there some REAL problems for a liberal wing-nut like Alec to concentrate on? Like global warming or something? As an actor, if the part calls for someone who can act like a cocky know-it-all, he's perfect. Anything else, he's clueless. And politically, this guy is the most dangerous type: and arrogant idiot.

Fri Apr 20 2007Hot-headed sorry excuse for an actor and worst as a father. So glad that his true colors were revealed. After he berated his child, he had the nerve to say, "Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child," SORRY PAL! ...but what was done to your child YOU did yourself ... not the media, not Kim. They would both be lucky if they never had to deal with you again.

Mon Jul 10 2006Passable actor till his politics consumed him. Why is still in this country anyway. Been 8 years since Bush was elected...Used to get his butt kicked as a kid in Massapequa, NY. That info is from someone who grew up with him and his brothers. Liberal Fascist, do as I say and not as I do.

Tue Mar 28 2006Mr. Balswin, you are truly, a great American.

Thu Jan 19 2006Anybody who makes such anti-American statements and shows so much hate for other Americans should either be in jail or deported to Iran where he can be with like minded people.

Tue Sep 27 2005Typical Liberal facist, if you don't agree with them, call them names, or threaten them or there family. Very funny on saturday live though

Wed Jun 15 2005He used to be a good actor. Remember the Hunt for Red October? He is in sharp decline over the last five years. Maybe his talent is seeping out as his looks decline. He keeps making a fool out of himself with his stupid statements. Maybe he should refresh himself with acting school. Is a comeback possible?

Sun May 15 2005I think Alec Baldwin has really improved as an actor over the past couple of years. He's quite underrated right now imo. Sometimes it takes a while but he's done some pretty good stuff lately.

Mon Mar 28 2005I posted the comments below in quotes nearly 5 years ago. Seems that I was 100% correct. WHERE IS BALDWIN'S CAREER NOW? Alec's opinions are very interesting indeed! He refuses to eat goose liver pate because the geese are mistreated but at the same time favors partial birth abortion, a procedure that includes the crushing of the head of a near full term baby. Alec, I think your priorities are a little perverted. You should keep your promise and leave the country. Since your career has hit a low point I'll be glad to send a contribution toward a one-way ticket. The only question is where should you go? I would suggest the lower regions. Goodbye, Alec. You won't be missed.

Mon Mar 21 2005You either love him or hate him. I give him two stars for being hairier than Robin Williams.

Wed Nov 10 2004He needs to shut up...and eat less.

Fri Sep 03 2004Loud mouth, hot head, scumbag, worthless, untalented, egotistical...the list goes on. Wouldn't watch his work if someone offeed to pay me. I wish he HAD moved out of the country like he promised when his budy Al Gore didn't win. Baldwin suffers delusions of grandeur when he believes people listen to him or care about what he has to say. His words are nothing but the ramblings of a man desperately in love with himself and the sound of his own voice. Please, Alec Baldwin, shut your pie hole!

Wed Aug 11 2004I actually liked Alec in The Hunt for Red October, but now I would prefer not to see him in anything. I don't like his politics. He was a Clinton Fan. The real zinger is that he is still a Clinton fan. His ego is as big as Clintons so it is fitting.

Mon Jun 28 2004Maybe we should drop his movies on Al-Qeada, as everything that he has been in has been a bomb.

Tue Jun 08 2004I'm still waiting for him to leave the country, and take Barbra Streisand with him. Hey, he said he was going. So go already.

Tue Jun 01 2004A decent but unremarkable actor who should learn to keep his mouth shut when it comes to politics.
by mlehde9276
Sun May 30 2004Have you seen him recently? He's starting to get as fat as Michael Moore. I quess nature is imitating artist. His body is stating to get as big as ego.

Wed Apr 07 2004Good acting, bad politics. I saw this Baldwin blowhard on Letterman way back in the Clinton Inquisition days. He was suggesting that we get a lynch party together to go down & burn the Republican witches who were leading the Clinton witch hunt. What a hypocrite. Then there's the fact that Bush is the President and Baldwin is still paying his taxes as a US citizen. Did I mention that this guy was a hypocrite? But...I'm going to change my rating to 4-Good based soleley on, The first prize is a Cadillac, second prize is a set of steak knives, third prize is you're fired. Coffee is for closers!

Tue Apr 06 2004This list is about his acting abilities, not his political opinions. As far as his acting goes...it is very below average and the only thing usually worth looking at while he is in a movie is his awesome body as he is very attractive, or at least he was years ago. I will make a comment about his politics...but a very short one...and that is just that he has every right to his own opinion as an American as the next person as long as he isn't breaking any laws in the process...

Thu Mar 11 2004I thought he was leaving the USA. Poor actor, has myopic view of politics. Baldwin has a passionate hatred for anyone who doesn't think the way he does. He knows nothing about politics except that he hates Bush. Not very nice to his wife, I've heard.

Mon Feb 02 2004Nominated for an Oscar for his latest movie The Cooler with Bill Macy. He holds up very well in this movie against the formidable talent of Bill Macy. Too bad he's involved in domestic dispute with his bimbo ex-wife who is trying, and not succeeding, at shaking him down for more money and exploiting her child for this purpose. He's one tough survivor though and will probably win out over the witch with a B. As for his politics, doesn't he have as much right as Bo - Duh - Derek to expresshis views. I hope he gets an Oscar for The Cooler.

Wed Dec 03 2003A TRULY HORRIBLE ACTOR.
by mr_gone
Sat Aug 09 2003I thought this guy was leaving. He must have realized that he can make more money as a lousy actor in this country; than as one in Canada, or maybe he stayed because he couldn't get his brothers to pack up and go with him. Either way, its great that he's still here because I love being preached to by someone who lives in an insulated hollywood community, says stupid things, and gets paid way too much money to play make believe for a living.

Wed Aug 06 2003I recently watched the movie, "Nuremberg". Which had Baldwin playing the lead prosecutor for the United States in the trial against the heads of the Nazi regime. I thought that he did an excellent job in that movie, besides the stupid love interest, which he seems to always have in his movies. But I read the news articles on him, and some of the things he has said. I am very disappointed. He seems hypocritical to me. He can accept to do a role like Col. Doolittle in Pearl Harbor, and then bash our great country and out great president. I think that there are too many actors that use their exposure of the media to voice their usually unwanted opinions. I think that everyone is entitled to an opinion. Like I am entitled to mine. But if I had said those things, as he has, I would not be potraying roles of great Americans, and even hereos. He has no right. I am very disappointed in him. There are millions of people that would love to come live in our country, and then we have ... Read more

Wed Jun 25 2003How come he hasn't moved to Australia?

Mon Jun 09 2003Totally unconvincing in every role I've seen him in, especially in "The Getaway." Looks like he constantly needs a shave and to wash his hair. If you're focusing in on his politics, save yourself time and energy: he's no more a political idiot than rightwingers like A. Schwarzenegger or C. Heston, and he deserves the right, like any other American, to put his ignorance on public display. I just wonder why righties are so threatened by those reviled Hollywood Liberals: is it that in their heart of hearts the righties realize the conservative ethos is false and ridiculous, yet they're not big enough people to admit it? Or is it they're so typically reductive and simplistic that they have no choice but to overreact, which is the hallmark of the reductive and simplistic mind? Or is it that they're envious because the Hollywood righties aren't as popular, sexy, talented, etc., as the Hollywood lefties? Personally, I think it's much ado about nothing, because both liberal and conservat... Read more

Mon Jun 02 2003Talentless hack! Couldn't act his way out of a paperbag. Anti-american with uninformed liberal views who needs to keep his promise and leave the country, and lets hope he takes his inbred brothers and his stupid ho of a wife with him!

Sun May 11 2003Hey Alec, get the hell out of here! You are unAmerican. We don't want you here. You don't support our President! You don't support our troops! Go join the French! Go to Hell! Wow, what intelligent statements. However, it is your right to make those statements, just like it is his right to make his statements. I could care less if the tabloids reported that he said that he would leave the United States if Bush won the 2000 Election (LOL it may be witty to say that he never left because Bush never won). I don't agree with everything Mr. Baldwin says, but he is not un-American for voicing his opinions. You can disagree with him by stating yours, but don't call him un-American just because he does not agree with you. America's best quality is our agreement to disagree. It seems that we are breaching that agreement as of late. As for Mr. Baldwin's acting, I think that his best days are behind him (he did a good job as the voice of Butch in Cats and Dogs), but those days were good days. I wi... Read more

Mon Apr 21 2003First, Alec is a great actor. Second, it was REPORTED that he made those comments about leaving the country, the tabloid media has been known to make "mistakes" every now and then (and especially given all the hysterical reactions here) im willing to give Alec the benefit of the doubt. And Finally, and this REALLY gets to me, whats all this BS about "Alec has no qualifactions to speak about public policy?" WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU NEED TO HAVE TO CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF YOUR COUNTRY???? I guess the only guys who are allowed to talk abut politics in your world are the talking airheads on your television. Bill Gates was a college dropout. Einstein liked to play hookie. Leave the long knives at home, boys! Long live free speech. And by the way, Why worry so much about having intelligent actors when we dont even have intelligent Presidents?

Fri Apr 18 2003How can I continue to enjoy the work of someone that is using my money to perpetuate their political opinions? I refuse to add to his coffers anymore because of this and besides, I can no longer appreciate his acting, which is mediocre at best, as it is so maddening just to be reminded of what he does with the money we have given him for his acting. I do know that he also does not do business with people that he disagrees with politically so his criticism of his boycotters would be most hypocritical - but then, what is new?

Thu Apr 17 2003"Always Be Closing", said Alec's character in Glengarry Glenn Ross. This would be good advice for Alec . . . as in, close your mouth, close your house, close up shop and GET OUT. Go live in France with the other fine Frenchmen, like Yasir Arafat's family and Roman Polanski. You're an actor w/no apparent skills or intellect. Good riddance.
