Someday, somewhere, somebody in the government is going to recognize that we have to use different tools to control Mohammedan cults. Looking to history would help. Al Qaeda would be more likely to develop a photon torpedo than a nuclear bomb. Perhaps we should donate a pickup load of plutonium to this group. They would all die of radiation poisoning working with it.

I'd stop a little short of abichara's view that they're on the rocks, but they certainly aren't the force that they once were. The problem with terrorist organizations of any sort is that even when they fail to gain nationalist sympathy, as it appears the case here, they retain a strong degree of danger, and other splinter groups may well act in their name.On a global geo-political scale however, abichara's take on Hezbollah is very accurate, and they are a threat with much more potential danger.

Al Qaeda is on the rocks. The problem is that their movement failed to stir nationalist sentiment, especially from amongst the Sunni Muslims they sought recruitment from. I'm not saying that they no longer lack the capability to mount a large scale attack on US interests, but their ability to do so have been significantly diminished. The most influential terrorist organization operating out of the Middle East is Hezbollah, a Shiite organization which many see as a tactical arm of the Iranian revolutionary government. They recently took over Lebanon's government, a very troubling development, since it indicates that Ir... Read more

Well, they won't stop until they kill every infidel, but I got  news for them, they will be obliterated one day, and for what?  God is still in charge. Al Qaeda is piss ants, and will be stoped by God, they may still attack, but fear not them, God will take care of you, and if you are a Christian, then they can kill you, all they want, better for you, Paul says in the Bible, "to die is gain" but he addresses Christians, the only gain Al Qaeda will receive is eternity in a lake of fire and brimstone.

Efforts must be made to neutralize their appeal among those disenfranchised who fall easy prey to their nefarious influence.
