I have never gotten airbrushed tan before but had heard some really great things about it. After reading all the reviews I made an appointment with Sharla! I'm so glad I did!! I had a fabulous experience with Airbrush Tans of Austin. The ladies there were very professional, knowledgeable & friendly; I instantly felt at ease with them. I've been to a few spray tan shops and have found that the color is one size fits all, however at Airbrush Tans, they took my skin color into account when determining the solution level to use on me. The product they use is safe and organic and the results are awesome! I loved my natural, glowing look. I highly recommend Airbrush Tans and am thrilled that there is now a downtown location!

I am a fair-skinned girl that can easily get ghostly pale if I don't watch it. I've tried mystic tanning before, and it looked fake and smelled horrible, and the lotions from the drugstore never do the trick. I went to Sharla on my way out of town to get some much needed color to my fair complexion. I had tanned at salons before on occasion but I am not what most would consider a "regular" or a "tan-oholic". After visiting Sharla for my 1st airbrush tan that just might change! I knew what to expect based on conversations but I was a little nervous about it none the less. She made me feel SO comfortable! There was nothing akward/uncomfortable about it. I am so glad that I found Airbrush Tans of Austin! I am fair-skinned and tanned too much in my 20s. Now that I am in my 30s, I am very concerned with taking care of my skin to reduce pre-mature aging, but I also want to look tan during the summer. I first went to Airbrush Tans of Austin before a trip to St Thomas in May. I loved the way it looked and felt fabulous on my trip. When I came back, I went back to Sharla several times just because I loved the way it looked and had received so many compliments. Some people even asked me if I had lost weight. I found Airbrush Tans of Austin on citysearch a few months ago and started making appointments a few weeks before my wedding. I absolutely LOVED the results! I am very fair skinned and Sharla mixed up a color that looks so natural on me. She'll ask you questions about how the tan "wore" and adjust her technique to your needs. So if your feet were too dark, or you collect color somewhere, she'll work around that next time. Really, what it comes down to is that UV exposure is NOT SAFE, home self tanners almost always leave you with little mistakes or missed spots, and Sharla is friendly, professional, and the results look incredibly natural. It's an easy choice! Sharla is wonderful, you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely adore Sharla! She is amazingly personable and does an amazing job at airbrushing! Really I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is interested in getting airbrushed. The tan couldn't have been more even and natural looking. I am naturally very fair skinned and she got the solution just right! The room she tans you in is very clean and pretty and well ventilated, which believe me helps alot because when you get airbrushed in a non-ventilated room it can get a little hard to breathe. Sharla at Airbrush Tan of Austin provides a fabulous airbrush service! She customizes the color of the tan specifically for your skin color. I have fair skin and freckles, and have always been skeptical of Mystic tan/sunless tanners, mainly because I've tried them and all made me look too tan or really fake. With Sharla's formula I look tan, but myself. It is not orange or streaky, but very natural and always very even. Not only is the tan fabulous, Sharla, is so friendly and really makes you feel completely comfortable. I would definitely recommend Airbrush Tan of Austin, I'm looking forward to my next appointment at their new location!

After a few years of doing the Mystic Tan, I have finally found the best way to get a beautiful and safe tan that looks even every time! The first time I went, I couldn't believe the results--the outcome far exceeded my expectations! Sharla is really professional, super sweet, and great at what she does! My tan looks awesome!! I was so surprised at how professional Sharla was. I was completely comfortable with her from the minute I walked in. My bronzer by the end of the day was a little orange but Sharla assured me when I took a shower it would come off . She was right! I was left with a beautiful golden tan. I was apprehensive at my first appointment. However Sharla puts you at ease the moment you step inside. She does an exceptional job of creating an even overall tan. There are no streaks or dark spots. My feet are extremely hard to do but she has figured out how to do them. She works with you to figure out what's best for you and your skin. I highly recommend her service and am now a regular customer.

It doesn't smell bad like the mystic tan does and she takes her time going over and making sure she covers everything. I was skeptical at first about being airbrushed, as I wasn't sure if the tan would look fake, or too orange, or streaky. I've been a tanning bed user for years and years and I finally decided to stop abusing my skin, but I LOVED the way I looked with a golden tan. What to do?? I have never written a review before but I had to share my experience with Airbrush Tans of Austin. With my skin, I am not able to tan in tanning beds or the sun due to cancerous tendancies my skin has. I am white as a sheet of paper and if I am out in the sun, I just burn red and then turn back white again..no tanning for me. I didn't want to do anything that didn't look natural and professional so I avoided Mystic Tans due to friends experiences and I tried tanning lotions and never received the desired affect I was looking for. I went to get my tan expecting to come out looking nice but really nothing else. While I have always valued aesthetics, I have recently become a new mom and by way of excusing myself from the hard work of keeping a nice appearance - I had resolved myself to thinking I was somehow above making the effort. Visiting Sharla and having some new color on my skin was an enjoyable (in spite of my nervousness!), enlightening, and empowering experience. I walked out of there looking like a million bucks! Sharla is so wonderful. Tanning beds and spray tans in most salons make me look orange and don't last long on my skin. Sharla airbrushed tanned me for my wedding and it looked perfect. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I received. It looked so natural and was perfectly even. I did a practice run a week before my wedding...everyone thought I looked so great that another one of my bridesmaids and my mom decided to do it with me before the big day because they liked it so much. sharla and air brush tans of austin are fabulous. she is very professional and freindly, you feel completely comfortable . her buisiness is in cedar park and very accessable form 183 a. Sharla is AMAZING!! I can?t say enough about how wonderful airbrush tanning is at Airbrush tans of Austin. This is not like the tan you get at the booth at one of those tanning salons.. this looks REAL and makes your skin look beautiful. The best part is she can adjust the color to your skin tone, this isn?t one of those one color for everyone type things. She can make you have a nice glow in the winter so you don?t look like one of those freaks who are insanely dark in the dead of winter ...and trust me she can make you dark if you want to go dark in summer. This was my first time having an airbrush tan, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but Sharla was wonderful. The salon is actually in her home, so the environment is very comfortable and she took time and explained everything and made me feel at ease. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great tan and fantastic customer service. I live north of Austin, so she is just minutes away, but for anyone who lives south, she is worth the drive :)

After experiencing my first airbrush tan at the spa in the Wynn Las Vegas I was hooked. I found Airbrush Tans of Austin on Citysearch, and decided to try it figuring I'd get a good tan but never expecting to top the Wynn. I was completely wrong. Sharla is an artist. She created the exact color I wanted and made me feel completely at home, like I've known her for years. My tan lasted over two weeks, and her prices are exceptional. I live far south but it?s definitely worth the drive to see Sharla. I can't wait to go back!

I've been to see Sharla twice now and left both times extremely happy with the results! She is very professional and friendly and makes you feel extremely comfortable in an awkward situation. The tan looks great and is very natural, mine usually lasts about a week. I always get compliments on my tan and people think I've actually been on vacation, which I love! First , Sharla is amazing .. I went to have her airbrush me last night and woke up feeling like I just got back from vacation.. My color is beautiful and even. I cant wait to go back. The atmosphere is awesome and very relaxing...With her passion for what she does you are going to leaving with perfect results!! I wouldnt go anywhere but to her.

This was my first airbrush tan, and I am very impressed with the results. I have spray tanned in a booth before, and while it looks okay, you can still tell it is fake (kind of orangy). Sharla was great, not pressuring at all and makes you feel EXTREMELY comfortable in an otherwise awkward situation. The actual tan was beautiful; the color is unbelieveably real. I used some glimmer dust on my skin afterwards and it looked like I had spent a week at the beach. Highly recommended. A word of advice, though: try to exfoliate beforehand, and make sure you don't put on any lotions, etc., till afterwards.

She is super-sweet & professional, and explained the entire process to me, including the ingredients in the tanning spray, and how to care for my tan afterwards. Even though it's a home-based salon, it's so cute & soothing, very well decorated & professional, and I felt very comfortable. Now to the really important part....the tan was incredible! I was a little nervous that it would be orange-y or uneven, but it really came out perfect! The color was perfect for my skin tone & I didn't have any streaks or uneven spots. I had people at work complimenting me, telling me that I looked so natural & that it looked like I just got back from the beach (not from a tanner!) They were all asking me where they could go to get a tan like mine. The pricing is very reasonable, and well worth it....I will be going back to Sharla regularly!

I love going to Airbrush Tans of Austin. The price is great and the service is unmatched. Plus it is close to my house. I highly recommend going. I feel completely comfortable during the process and leave happy. You do have to plan ahead. If you have an event you want some color for, this process takes about an hour from walk in to walk out, and you have to leave it on, and not shower for at least 8-12 hours. But the results are worth it! I love it!

since it is in a home atmosphere, you will not get the spa environment, but you are getting a sunless tan, so you really don't need that environment. She is excellent on working around your schedule and in her application.
