Check in staff were friendly. Cabin Crew not very approachable but not rude. Food and entertainment were OK. Generally pleasant.

A "business class" trip from France to Israel featured economy seats and one choice of entree (which as it happens, I was allergic to). Not only that another entree was not available, but no other food whatsoever. Only the price was high. In a reply to a letter I sent to the CEO of AirFrance, a customer service representative offered apologies that "they did not meet my expectations" (which I guess were too high- food and a seat) but implied I deserved no concrete compensation.

I havn't even flown with them, but I have to say, refusing to repair your planes and waiting till something catastropic happens like the Air france jet crashing into the Atlantic happens to realize they need to repair the planes and make them safer, is enough for a 1 star rating.

Never never fly, Air France. Staff and hosts are indeed terrible and wouldn't hesitate using racial slur. That is apart from the delays and the loss of luggage they are famous for. The maintenance of the vehicles are so pathetic, if it is a long flight. Such as trans-atlantic. They have this air that they are the elite people of the world who dislike English speakers. You will not get much help believe me, if you dont speak french. I am sure this airline is not going to survive in this competitive world.

i travelled to houston last august fron c degaulle on a.f. and left my videocamera in the lounge. just after taking my seat on the half full plane i discovered my loss, went to the door of thev plane, was told i couldn't return to the lounge to find my camera. he radioed, it was there it would come on the next busload. this didn't happen. instead it went to some lost and found, the airport has several. i was promised staff in houston would help me retrieve it. didn't happen. customer service in florida (sunrise) contacted by e-mail offered many pages of excuses and denials, presumably never helping find my lost item, taking many weeks to reply to my e-mail pleas each time, and then only offering their standard line, its not our fault, we're not responsible for unchecked items. I hate it!! i was on the plane for at least 1/2 hour while my camera and the 4.5 hours of video i shot was disappearing. bad ! bad ! bad! how inhumane of them. i, the self loading cargo, screwed !

I used a lot of airlines European and American and even if Air France strike a lot, whenever they fly it s always great, The planes are in a very good shape, the attendant are nice and they respect their schedule when there is no strike. I had only 1 bad experience and they found me a solution with booking me on another airline to reach my destination the same day. Americans airline just say sorry and refund you the money, that s sucks if you have plans and everything booked.

I had a flight from Seattle-Paris-Delhi. I had 2:30 hours for transit. The fact that Air France was willing to put me on connecting flights so close together, I am sure they have confidence in their arrival times. Bottomline, I missed the connection. They asked me to wait 24 hours in Paris. They made no effort to accommodate me. I had to escalate the issue to supervisor before anyone would even listen to me. After several hours, they finally put me on a flight to Munich and then to Delhi. Only 12 hours late. My return filght was Delhi-Mumbai-Paris-Seatle. I missed my connection in Mumbai even though I had 5:30 hours between the two flights. Air France refused to accommodate me at all saying that Delhi-Mumbai is operated by Air India. Why is Air France selling me tickets for Air India if they are not willing to own up the responsibility. Air India was nice enough to put me on a later flight, provided Air France endorsed the ticket. The fact that Air France does not care about its cu... Read more

We had to arrange for our own delivery of bags through federal express because they expected us to wait 5 days and pay for it.

Avoid Air France out of Dulles. Their personnel are deliberately contemptuous of travelers, they lie and are especially reputed to deny that a traveller has a reservation.

Service is hit or miss. Take away KLM and the best flight I've ever had was on Air France. Take away Alitalia and the worst flight I've ever had was Air France.

The flight was delayed because of snow storm. The information given by AirFrance was incorrect all the time. They boarded passangers 4 hours prior to take off so we had to wait in plane 4 hours. Finnaly, they lost my luggage and I am still waiting for it. So, don't fly with this airline!

Air Chance is the pits. They have lousy timekeeping and are not interested in sorting out the ensuing problems. And they fly via CDG. Avoid them like the plague.

I have used Air France many times over the past 25 years due to family living in France. I have always had a great experience. Everyone is always very nice and will go out of their way to be very helpful. I've never had any major delays. I once fell asleep at the airport in between flights and they came to find me before the plane left me stranded. Now that's customer service. Their food is good considering it's airline food. I recommend highly!

Ok i guess everyone can have different experiences. WEll for starters, On a flight from Chicago to Paris we were treated fairly, food is good. But my mom's seat was damaged and we didnt get another seat. On landing at Paris is a nightmare, people go every which way and it's so hard to find your way around. Apon landing in Chicago 6 months later we encountered heavy turbulence with Air France and the pilot did not appologize. So all in all Maybe other flights have been better but from now on Our family will try to avoid this airline.

OK, how is it the airline's fault that Paris is an extremely populated city with streets that are confusing to a tourist? And finally, I do not think that a pilot has to apologize to anyone because there was a little air turbulence...get real. This airline is not much better than the rest of them, but at least the complaints should be valid...

Mediocre service. They overbooked my flight and cancelled my reservation without notifying me, which forced me to leave the country two days late.
