Across USA Moving

This moving company will bait and switch on you faster than you can blink. Ended up trying to charge more than double the original quote and did not honor the quoted delivery time. Company would not respond or answer complaints. A very terrible experience!

This letter is given to Across USA Moving & Storage without solicitation. I recently received a letter of advertisement in the mail from Across USA Moving & Storage offering their services. And while I was sceptical about engaging the services of a moving company I didn't know, I hesitantly gave them a call. My call was returned promtly by one of thier consultans who gave me a brief overview of what they could do for me. The consultant was friendly and reassured me that they would provide me with a free in-home estimate with no obligation to hire their services. The young friendly owners arrived at my door on time and provided me with a step by step assessment of what my anticipated move would cost. I also received two additional quotes, and although Across USA Moving ' quote was somewhere in the middle, they by far outweighed the two other moving companies with the way in which they handled the in'home estimate. Our move was a challenging one. We were moving from a 4th floor loft with no elevator into a house. The move took longer than expected and cost more than quoted however I must say that Manny , Travis and David are very conscientious and professional. They took care of each piece of furniture by properly wrapping and carefully moving each one. I've used a lot of movers in the past few years and while these guys ended up costing a bit more, they were most definitely worth it... especially if you have pieces you care about. Also almost forgot, they're nice movers.

With 11 moves behind us, we were nervous about any moving company but Across USA Moving were different. On time, on budget and faster than we expected but, more than that, they were so nice and friendly and caring about making sure our things were handled well. Thanks!

Our two-part move involved moving some of my mom's belonging, and then the rest of her belongings to our place Davis and Tony were on time, careful, respectful (my mom loved them) and very hard working. They took care to meet the retirement home time constraints and at our home they suggested we cover the furniture that we were storing in the garage and gave us plastic from the move to to this. Across USA people made our move a lot easier than we thought it would be and I would totally use their services again.

This was the first time my family & I moved from out home and was very scared to use movers because of all the horror stories we heard. We moved on July 31 2011 and we had David and Tony. These guys were so nice and friendly and was very careful with all of things in the house. They were also very helpful when asked to do something extra and when we got to the new house they took care of our floors and lined it with carpet and rugs. We bought lunch for them and they were very happy with that extra touch. If we ever have to move again I would not think twice about using Across USA Moving again. Jerry and crew were on time, professional, and handled our items with care. They charged exactly what was quoted with no hassles. I would use them again for another move and recommend them to others who are looking to avoid the hassles you hear about from other companies.

I have always had a fear with movers. They are responsible for all of my personal belongings, but now I know that I don't have to worry anymore. Across U.S.A Moving and Storage was a great find. They were extremely helpful from the time that I called them to the end of the move. They were very careful with all of my belongings and did everything in a timely manner. There were no hidden charges. I felt very comfortable using them and would recommend their services to others.

I called Jerry at Across USA 2 days before my scheduled move date. Although it was extremely last minute, Jerry cheerfully squeezed me in for Saturday at 12PM! At exactly 12PM they pulled in to start the move. I greeted them both (Jerry and Tony), who are really nice guys. They started with protecting everything with plastic wrap and commenced with loading all my stuff. I had a very tight space to move my king size mattress and couch, but they managed to load it all without causing any damage whatsoever. They were also kind enough to drive me to my new apartment! They final load into my new apartment went smooth (other than a neurotic elevator), and all was done within the price range I expected, no surprises. All in all, I would definitely recommend them to anyone for any moving needs!

David and his partner were great! They were organized, punctional, friendly and always responsed to emails promptly. They didn't damage any of the furniture, which was problem we had with previous movers. I highly recommend these guys!

Reliable, friendly, careful, hard working and that is Across USA professional full home services. You need someone like that to help with the stress of moving. Stephanie and her staffs are super. Will definitely use them again.

The movers were very professional and clean. The truck arrived on time and the move was handled quickly and efficiently. They took care of my belongings and ensured that nothing was broken or damaged. The price quoted was the price I paid and I felt the price was quite reasonable. I would definitely hire them again for any future moves and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Our moving experience with the 4 guys today was way above my expectations. I couldn't be hapier with the quality of work and the professionalism they showed. Even though it was estimated to be 5 hours and it ende up being a 9 hour day, these men didn't complain otlr slow down once. They never even took a lunch or dinner break or any break for that matter. This was an excellent moving experience. Thank you so very much for all of your help. You have been so kind and helpful and pleasant. Your wonderful attitude and professional way of doing business played a big role in my deciding to use Across USA as the company for my upcoming interstate move. I was extremely satisfied with my move using Across U.S.A. The crew was on time, worked quickly and was extremely helpful. My relocation consultant was on top of things and made sure that everything was in order. She was also very patient with whatever changes there may have been. I never thought I would write a review for a moving company, but Across U.S.A. Moving really outdid themselves. My roommate and I were moving from an elevator building to a 2nd floor walk-up. I called Across U.S.A. Moving when I was price shopping and they immediately came in lower priced then most of the other people I spoke with. They assured me this would be quick and easy. The guys came on time as scheduled and wrapped all of my furniture in moving pads to assure no damage. They quickly moved everything to the new walk up in no time. This company should be run out of business by the better bisiness bureau,they arrived late to move me from texas to oklahoma they raised my rate after putting everything on truck and spoke mostly spanish. Then 3 weeks later on delivery they had dents in my dryer lost screws for everything,put one bed together with no slats causing the first person to sleep in it to fall threw hurting themselves.Also they lost the glass top to my patio table and tried to say it wasn't there when packed after finally owning up to it they told me to get 3 bids and they would send me a check this is one month later and their telling me the bids are to high and i guess not going to pay. The only thing pleasent about the whole company is hollie in the office how she can work for such a lieing cheating company is beside me don't know how she can stand herself. So folks check out other companys first or hire help and a u-haul and do it yourself will be a much more pleasent expierence.

Do not use this moving company, They are very nice till they got your attention. they abuse u and harass u through out the process.

I engaged Across USA (Dallas office) to move my household to the State of Michigan from Texas. They changed the agreed upon pick-up and delivery dates in mid-contract and threatened to delay delivery by two weeks if I did not comply with their drop off schedule, causing serious problems to me and forcing a 19 hour drive (non-stop) in order to arrive in time. At delivery much of my furniture was severely damaged but the drivers ultimately left some very valuable pieces of furniture (Antique brass beds from Civil War era, Family heirlooms), on the truck and left. Within a couple of hours after leaving the driver called and acknowledged the mistake and promised to deliver the items within a couple of hours. The driver described the items to me, verifying they were indeed in possession of my property. The driver never showed up and has since denied having the items. The cost of the move increased more than 60 percent after the mover had more than half the goods loaded on the truck. The movers tried to pressure us into leaving items to decrease costs then asked if they could have the items. When the goods were delivered items were damaged, hardware was lost, majority of boxes were left in the garage instead of appropriate rooms, furniture was not assembled and the crew was was very unprofessional. After the move was completed the company has been unresponsive to complaints and will not work with us to resolve any outstanding issues. A very horrible moving experience.

I employed Across USA to move me. They sent one guy who could speak english an three scrawny guys who had no idea how to move furniture. They damaged my furniture, ripped the kitchen vinyl flooring, gouged the wall, and broke several glas items packed well in boxes. The movers whined and moned they were not getting paid enough and I told them that was what their representative contracted. Their representative wrote a bid that was also wrong (extremely eager to make a deal and move on). I complained and filed a claim with the company that represented them and it just got worse from there. I am out about $3000 as my furniture can not be fixed. The settlement company ran me through the ringer with their protocol and then sent me a miniscoule check for a mere fraction of the value. I returned the check with further documentation of my loss. Words cannot express how disappointed I am in Across USA. First let me say that all of my stuff was in storage already professionally packed so this should have been a very easy move for them to execute. The quote given to me was for $3700.00 and when they came to pick everything up, they said that it was more than originally thought. I am 15,000 miles from the storage location in Dallas so I have no way to dispute this. The final bill was for $7400.00 or twice what the estimate was. They told me that everything was already loaded on the truck when they gave me the new bill and I was stuck. In fact they had not even loaded the truck yet and that did not occur until 6 days later. I booked Across USA 30 days before I needed my household goods to arrive and they could not even get it delivered on the requested date. So to summarize their performance, they charged me twice the estimate, defrauded me and did not deliver on the requested date. Do Not EVER use this company!!!

Very good company moved me back to my home town no issues nothing broke good rates and they helped pack and unpack .All boxes were marked by room and it went as good as I could have asked for .

My move with Across U.S.A. has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Has anyone else noticed that the majority of the "Testimonials" on the company's website are handwritten on their own letterhead?! First, they showed up late and took over 8 hours to complete my move. I have a 2 bedroom apartment, and was only moving things out of 1 of the bedrooms. I have moved before and the entire load, drive, and unload process took less than 2 hours. The workers from Across would stand around my apartment, spend time chatting it up, and disappear for extended lengths of time. Second, they doubled the cost of the move. After loading all of my items on to the truck, I was given a bill for twice my original quote. I asked why they did not address this cost increase BEFORE moving any of my belongings, and I received a mumbling rambling response and told to take it up with management. My moving consultant was so professional and helpful right from the start. My move date changed several times but she worked with me through all the changes. They had to have an inventory of my items and even though I didn't know how many boxes I would end up packing, my sales rep, Sheila, told me I could give her that information later and she estimated a box count for me in my estimate. I was even able to give her an actual box count the day BEFORE my move and she readjusted my price!! When the movers arrived, ON TIME, Joey the foreman introduced himself and explained everything to me. He was very professional and the movers worked quickly and efficently. I was told it would take up to 14 days to receive my items, but 2 days after my items were picked up, I called and they told me my items were being shipped in 2 days and within 7 days total I had my items.I would use Across USA again and have recommended them to others! KUDOS to the staff at Across USA!
