Accutire makes accurate gauges, that I know, but my gauge does not seal properly, loses air and the inflexible hose makes it difficult to take pressures, and you really have to press down on the valve to get a good reading. Its ok, but a lot of trouble for something that should work flawlessly since it really is only a tire gauge.

After reading the other reviews here on Amazon I was a little apprehensive. It did appear that the more negative reviews were the older ones. The company that makes the gauge itself has also switched hands so I took a chance. The gauge is fast and accurate. You have both a digital readout and a bar readout around the circumference that is reminiscent of an analog gauge. The digital readout gives you a reading to a tenth of a pound and is MUCH larger and easier to read than the bar around the outside edge. The readout changes on the fly even while bleeding air. The hose is very soft and flexible. The connection on the end is awesome. The seal is great. Not ONCE have I bleed air unintentionally while trying to make a seal. The clip is solid. You can clip it on to the stem and let go and it holds on tight. The blue backlighting is bright and even. I have no idea why you would want to clip it on and monitor the pressure for more than a second but you can if you like. The hose also re... Read more

First, the positives. 1) Excellent visiblity from the display. 2) Seems ruggedly constructed Now the negatives 1) The air bleed button bleeds air way too slowly. If you're actually using this gauge for racing and only have a couple minutes to bleed air from your tires, you will be hard pressed to do it with this gauge. 2) The unit powers off after about a minute. There is no way to disable it. That means if you're in the process of bleeding air it may power off, requiring you to unclip the hose from the valve, bleed the unit, hit "on" and start over. Very frustrating. Overall, it works fine as an air gauge, but for competition... no way.

Ordered this on sale from Amazon. When I opened the blister package, the air release button and spring fell out. Gauge was defective before I could even try it out. Sent it back for a replacement. We'll see how that goes.
