Tue Sep 27 2011My Golden Retriever was constantly itching. I had been feeding him Iams or Purina One, which cost about $35 for a 35lb bag. My vet recomended a dog food he sells in his office that does not have any wheat, corn or soy which cost $49.99 for a 17.5lb bag. I also have a Husky/Chow mix (70lbs) and a big black unknown mix (110lbs), so 17lb of dog food does not last very long. We live in a small town of about 12,000 and there are no Petsmarts stores or pet specialty stores within 30 miles. I never thought about Tractor Supply selling Dog Food. I thought the only place to buy dog food was the Super Walmart or the super massage Kroger. I put our dogs on the 4Health Chicken & Rice, ($26.99 for 35lb bag) and within a couple days my Golden had stopped the constant scrathing and itching. The other two mutts have never really had any kind of skin problems and they are doing fine on the 4Health too. The dogs are producing maybe 1/4 to 1/3 less poop as an added bonus. Mon May 23 2011in short, my dogs were scratching themselves to death. the rather expensive dog food i was feeding was ,upon review, nothing short of garbage. (price does not always equate to quality) switched to 4 health upon a recomendation and my dogs have thirved. the only reason i gave 4 health a 4 and not a 5 is that a dog food that costs less than many lesser quality brannds has to have a flaw somewhere, even though i have not found it yet.

Fri Mar 25 20114health Chicken and Rice formula is certainly above average, and contains no corn, wheat, soy, glutens, or byproducts. The major objectionable ingredient is the use of beet pulp as a fiber additive, a fairly useless ingredients. By no means the best food on the planet, but far, far from the worst.

Fri Feb 18 2011I am awarding '4Health' brand dog food a 5* rating. I like it because it has no fillers and is of decent quality also. My dogs love the taste of this food. With that said, I will continue to feed my 2 dogs '4Health.' Sent from my iPod.

Thu Sep 16 2010My dogs are doing so much better on this food! My dogs were on Purina Alpo and one of my dogs was loosing fur and having bad dandruff. So bad we thought she was getting mange. But we switched to this, and it went away! Plus, it's really inexpensive. I think it's Blue Buffalo quality without the price! Please try it! My mom won't buy expensive food and she buys this!
