This is my first purchase, but I could not belive that I received the best customer service and the lowest price for the camcorder. No sales pressure from the salesman. I will shop here again in the future.

I ordered the new sony HD camcorder from 42nd St Photo. The order was correct and arrived on time. I haven't had a chance to use it too much but it is easy to use. The sales-rep I dealt with at 42nd st was also very helpful. He answered all of my questions and gave me good advice. I will buy from them again. Dale

Purchased HD Video Camera for a great price, when I called to confirm certain information, the guy on the phone asked if I wanted to get a good deal on an extra battery. Well it sounded like a great deal. After getting my package i noticed that the extra battery was not the same name as the camera. I checked online to find the same battery for half the price!! I called then to see about returning the battery and getting a refund. That could be done, but I would be charged $25 for restocking the battery. This is not what I would call a good customer service. Especially after they were the ones that told me I was getting such a great deal! Camera is great, delivery was fast. Just don't except what they say on the phone, research first, then if the price is good the rest is too.

Overall the experience was great and had no issues while buying the product....

I ordered the item using PayPal and chose free shipping. The Sony A500 camera was shipped within two days and the UPS tracking number was promptly e-mailed to me. The package arrived on time and the camera box was very nicely packed! Will buy from them again for sure!

shopped online looking for the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ35. Local camera store in town couldn't touch the price 42nd st. photo had and told me to be skeptical that i might be buying just the camera with no other parts. totally untrue. 42st Photo had a great price for a complete camera with strap, lense, battery et al. No high pressure sales. I received the usual call after my order was placed to see if i needed an extra battery or memory card. i politely told the person no and the camera was shipped out that day. Received the camera about 4 days later through the free shipping option even though i was told it might take 7-10 days. Buying process was simple. i love this camera and would highly recommend it for those looking for an advanced point and shoot rather than spending a ton of cash on a DSLR.

So before going on my vacation on the 5th of Jan i decided i wanted to buy a Canon rebel Xsi, so i call up the store, speak to a guy and get a price on the camera, the guy on the phone says it will be $540. I ask do you guys have it in stock, he says yes i do. So i go to the store ask about the camera, the guys pulls open the 42 street photo website and starts showing me stuff on that, and i tell him can u show me some covers, he show's them to me on the website. i asked can i just pay and take the camera. and see some actual covers. Hes like no you have to order thru the website if you want that price. So i said if i wanted to buy it online i could have done it from my home. And the guy says if u want to buy it here the price will be $600 if you pay cash and $630 if you pay credit. and it wil take them about 30 minutes to get the camera out. This is my third buying experience with 42nd St Photo and yet again it was flawless. I am from Germany, so buying in US can be bothersome sometimes because of credit card issues etc... Luckily I can use a US address for my stuff to be shipped to... This time I bought a Canon EOS 5D Mark II body. Got it for A good price and the item was shipped free exactly on the day i wanted it... What can I say? The third was not the last, for sure!

Okay...I'm a professional photographer in Atlanta, GA. I desperately needed to get a new Canon 7D camera body for a good price and quickly. Due to the holiday season, and this Canon 7D being a brand new release, many stores were sold out of the camera body. So...called 42nd Street Photo, spoke to Robert (really professional, very accommodating sales rep), told him of my situation, and within 5 minutes, Robert promised me they had the camera body in stock, and that I would receive it in 2 days. Well...here's the incredible part...I received the camera today (2 days from order date) but, apparently the New York store actually was out of the Canon 7D camera body. So, to keep their promise, and get the camera to me as they said they would, they broke open a Canon 7D Kit, which includes a lens which I did not want (or need), removed the lens and sent me just the camera body. Elliot was very professional in knowing exactly what I needed when I asked for his feedback on my camera. He knew where to look for when I asked for a replacement item for my camera. I needed a part for the flash on my camera, a Kodak Easy Share, and though Kodak took a long time (4 weeks to ship the part), the folks at 42nd Street Photo provided me with a "loaner" camera so I was still able to take pictures on my vacation. They were very kind, professional and helpful. I would recommend them highly.

By recommendation of a good friend, I visited the 42nd Street Photo store while on a business trip. My hotel was across town so it was quite the trek, but it was worth it. Unfortunately, when I got there, I realized I had forgotten my credit card in my room. Still, having known I wasn't buying right then and there, the staff was very helpful in helping me find the digital camera that was right for me. I simply told them the basics I wanted, they asked a few questions, and within minutes I was testing out a SONY Alpha a200k, I knew it was the one I wanted. Awesome service, order processing, and shipping. I wanted to let everyone know that when you want to save big bucks and receive extrememely great service shop with 42nd street photo. When i called the toll free number i didnt have to wait twenty minutes to get a real person on the phone. It took a total of seven minutes to give them my information and for them to give me my order number and tracking number. We went over all the items that i was purchasing and we were done.
