The show is so fake. She talks them into giving her specials before hand and they give her more food because she is on T.V.. She is a total alcoholic and spends most of her money on booze. The math hardly adds up. What a huge fraud. And sometimes I have seen her with her dad. She still calls him "Daddy" and is all over him, and there is something sick about that past four years old. Breakfast -White wine and orange juice. Huge omelet, bacon, toast and another mimosa $9.95 Lunch -Three bloody Marys with pasta and garlic bread $13.99 Dinner -A glass of red wine with steak and shrimp platter  MAGICALLY $15.47 Leaving 60 cents. -Calling Rachel Ray an idiot... Priceless

I like this show sometimes.....The one time I saw her do a Vegas show she only showed good places to eat on the strip not places were people who actually live here could go and not break the bank.  I do think between her two shows on the food network and her new show on NBC I'm getting a little Rachel Ray'd out.

I enjoy the show but think maybe now after several years she could up it to maybe $60 a day

I have this vision of Rachel on Lake Luzerne in the Adrondacks sitting on her dock getting plasterd on Jack Daniels. I think she loves the sauce...

I'd feel very guilty if I left the gratuity she leaves. Servers depend on tips to survive, they don't make millions from network TV. In the real world $40.00 a day= going to the drive-thrus.

She is absolutely awful. The worst celebrity (note I did not say "chef") on the Food Network.

She is a vapid, overly chatty, asshat, loud, cheap icky excuse for a human being. Combine tax and tip? I would be ticked if I were one of her servers on that show. I waited tables for a few years in college and it must be hard when people come in like her. Not just annying, but with a film crew and more than likely making other customers uncomfortable and slowing their service which in turn would make them tip poorly as well. Not to mention it would be coompletely so obtrusive that if I were a patron when she was there, I would probably leave. I hope the producer has enough sense to warn patrons that the Raytard is about to arrive.

Oh, scientist, it's only for a few minutes, and she probably tips them very well. Rachel Ray can be annoying, but she does have some intelligent thigns to say. Her recipes are right on btw, especially the ones designed for kids.

I am extremely annoyed with Rachel Ray. I hate her big Kool-aid smile, and she is gettin so fat, I guess thats why she wears a lot of black. Who cares if you have a cajun Daddy??? loose some weight lady!!! Katina Smith

I don't particularly mind this show, although I've never sat through an entire episode and tend to view it in bits and pieces. Rachael is easy on the eyes, but those food orgasms do get to be a bit much. Wonder how she reacts when she bites into something really foul-tasting and rotten?

I think Rachael is adorable. I love the insights into the cities that she is visiting as well as the tips on places to dine. I do, however, tip my servers a bit more than she does.

I can eat for much less than $40 a day and get good food in the process. I like Rachael Ray just fine, it's the concept that bugs me.

I'm sorry, but she bugs me. I can't put my finger on it. That constant giggle doesn't help either.

Too much of the value which is purchased for the $40 per day has to do with ambiance and atmosphere, too little has to do with food quality or value. One often feels that there are a TON of other restaurants, a little seedier perhaps, a little more down to earth perhaps, that somehow get missed in the considerations. This program is fine for young folks without much experience at life, otherwise; it should be avoided by those of us who have lived a little.

At least now they have the option to edit out her irritating giggling.

Anyone can eat on 40 bucks a day. I find the program to be a a bore! Who in there right mind would tip the waitress a 1.50 for a meal?? IMO, a waste of cable space.

If you sick of Burger King, you should watch Rachel Ray's $40 a day. This show combines good food and traveling.

If you are a fan of Rachael Ray, than this show is a great helping of Rachel at her best: eating. Hehe, I have learned a lot about eating good just from watching her show. You really can find great food with little money if you are traveling and on a budget.
