Please note this is going to be a quick review, as my other cheddar's reviews generally cover this place well. Please check those out! ;-)

intro: long wait but worth it, this location has a different layout and system, it does not use the coasters that vibrate and blink, they call your name and party size on the intercom. the place was pretty loud though, however the nice decor made up for that. if the place was spartan and bare then the noise level would be intolerable.

order 1 (mine) chicken alfredo: was very good. made enough for me to have 2 meals so I had some for later for the hotel.

service: Very engaging and freindly waitress and she was very prompt and attentive as well.... extremely enthusiastic and you can tell she loved to work there.... I think her name was sherice.

overall 5 stars easy!

Cheddar's Review 4.24.12

Parking: This place was packed!!! we were able to find a halfway decent parking spot though. I can count the empty spaces on one hand and this parking lot is HUGE! This is actually a good sign! Means people like this place!

Intro and wait time: Greeted nicely, took the pager, and sat out on the nice patio with a nice waterfall for 15 minutes to wait for the table. It was pleasant outside and I was able to pick up lowe's guest wifi from across the street. However this place only has closed wifi.

The waitress was very prompt in taking the orders and getting our drinks. Even liked my kitty necklace!!

Order 1: (Mine): Chicken Alfredo:it was really really good! It was nice, hot, and fresh and very creamy and easy to eat.... Texture was perfect. My mouth still wants more but my tummy says no more I've had enough! LOL. I wish my tummy was bigger for it, they gave you a lot! It was only 8 bucks too! At Olive Garden it would cost around 20! I also got a side salad that came before it that was good as well.

Order 2: (Husband's): He got a very good burger and loaded baked potato soup and he loved both of them a lot.

Order 3: (Sister's) She got a small (8oz) Sirlion Steak that she really really liked. She also got Chicken Strips and she was really loving those they had really good texture and she gloated about them a lot... LOL.

Service: Our waitress was very very attentive! She got our refills very promptly and was very friendly, warm, and very approachable. She had good vibes as well. She did a great job!

Overall I would give this place a 5 stars! Fantastic job Cheddar's and Excellent first impressions!

intro: greeted wierdly, wasn't seated promptly and there were plenty of empty tables, our table wasn't even cleaned off very good, took a very long time just to get drinks! wifi was there but it was filtered and blocked a couple tech news forums I visit that aren't malicious or that bad. took 12 minutes to connect as

order 1: mine: it was some kinda tilapia and it tasted good, it came with cheesy taters and they weren't all that great. food rating 3.7/5
order 2: sis: burger without bun (gluten intolerance) it tasted good to her but not the best it could have been. food rating 4.5 /5

service: very slow and disorganized, everyone there was, nobody was taking care of the diners and a mom next to use got restless and her kids were crying becuase they were hungry and thirsty and she took 20 minutes to get thier drinks and the kids were screaming loudly. I felt sorry for them becuase I was equally as frustrated at the lack of service. If I were those kids I would cry too! everyone was unorganized and they did not seem to care so much. they got my sister's drink order wrong and my coffee was icky tasting. service rating 0.5/5

overall rating: 1/5 if I have to have a star and .5/5 if I didn't have to have an even star rating. pathetic and one of the worst places I've ate at. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS PLACE!

Denny's review for 7.11.12 Clarksburg,WV

intro: got seated promptly, taken care of promptly, and my sis wanted to see if they had gluten free menus and they did! excellent! Was smooth to get as well and price was no different!

order 1: (mine): custom skillet 8.29 USD. I got one with eggs, ham, cheese, shrooms, and BACON! it was really good! not much else to say. ;-)

order 2: (husband's): Cordon Bleu melt. 6.00 USD. Very satisfied. loved it. ;-)

order 3: (sister's): Gluten free omlette. around 6.00 USD. very satisfied. loved it even more becuase it was gluten free! ;-)

service: excellent. very attentive and she was extremely easy to deal with the aspects of the gluten free workings. name was sara. took good care of my coffee. very friendly. manager even checked on us and was very nice about the gluten free stuff as well. great. ;-)

overall. very satisfied. 5 stars.

Denny's review for 1.19.12

we went to the cambridge,oh denny's and it was easy to get to. Parking was great (were able to park next to the door) and there were no lines... we even went around lunch time and the place wasn't very packed at all ;-) the décor was decent... not fancy but not sparse and the lighting was adequate, but not overbearing... the layout was typical of a denny's and the place was very clean and calm.

we got seated and taken care of very promptly and got our drinks very quickly. It was taking us a good amount of time to decide what we wanted, and she came around again and asked if we were ready, and we said we wanted more time so she refilled our drinks and then came back very quickly later and she refilled and we decided...

I ordered a skillet and a side salad (ranch dressing).... and she took the order and ….

the salad for me came right about the same time as my meal did... approx 3 minutes later... LOL... but the speed in which we got our food was pretty fast.

My skillet (the western one) with ham, bacon, eggs, peppers, potatoes (normally baked redskinned but they substituted with has browns instead so we can still have it!) (most places would not offer it at all!) which was very nice. It also had cheese sauce and a few other things....


it tasted very yummy I wanted more but my tummy said no cause it was full. LOL...

she was very good at taking care of us and about when we were about 80% of our visit there she introduced our new server, as she said the manager wanted her to go on break, so she introduced her to us and told us she would be taking care of us and was very informative and polite about it! ;-)

we had very good service there, the food was great and as an added bonus the place had wifi and was decent speeds. ;-) the prices were cheap (25 bucks for 3 people)

4.8 stars for this visit! ;-)

intro:greeted coldly watiress was slow to get our drinks and get us set up. wifi wasn't working.

order 1: (mine): chicken alfredo. it tasted like the smell of that Elmer's white school glue! it was gross. got a change to a "portabella" steak that ended up making me sick a couple hours later and I threw up the meal when I got home. (as we ate here on the return tripe from Virginia Beach and I live in Parkersburg,WV) food rating 1/5

service:Michelle was the shift leader as presented on her nametag... she WAS NOT SHIFT LEADER MATERIAL. She was very apathetic and inattentive, she let our plates pile up and the same with other table she was assigned to. She acted afraid to take our menus and looked unconfident in herself. She also was very slow with refills, she did not sem to know the menus well, and her attitude wasn't very welcoming. We did get the order switched fine, however the resolution wasn't satisfactory, as I still got sick. service rating 1/5

I do admit that I was negative at first about this place... but I do think it is a good place to go if you are in the mood for homestyle. But, However,my opinion of this place is changed.... UPDATE1: I do remember a good expenice now! I did liek the food at the marietta,ohio location. but i did have chicken strips and they were farily good and thew mashed potatoes were pretty good but a tad lumpy.The service was slow considering it was not too crowded and it was only lunch time. Visit date->may 2002

UPDATENEW!: The last time I went there (The location around Pickerington,OH)it was really crowded and it was hectic and it also was really slow and the service was really slow (they did not repay us for the delay like we expected) they did act moderatly and were kinda nice but not as personal as I expected) I threw up over the balcony like a drunk person. the porck chops made me sick!!! Last visit-> Feb 2004

UPDATE2:I just ate there on new years (Mentor,OH)and it was great! the food came pretty fast and it was really good! I loved my porkchops!!! and they were really nice to my sis in law's baby and they were all playing with her!!!(her name's emmy) and it was great there. The food took 20 min to get there but they were almost at capacity in the main area. great going!!! you've really improved!!! I have , however remembered some freky things that i've noticed in thier food lately... first of all thier menu is not as wide as ponderosa's (one of my frequents) I do like some of the atmosphere but the menu is too contry like... and I have puked on thier food some..... it is not as good as ponderosa's.... I don't care for it that much and it is too expensive for a little bit they put on your plate!! ;)OVERALL RATING: 4.0 Exact.(NOTE: this is mostly for cost and selection! the service was ok th food tasted mostly good) visit date->New Years 2001!

intro:greeted coldly took a long time to get our drinks and get setup. even though place wasnt packed at all. wierd smells around the place too. had nasty looking old deflated balloons hanging everywhere and messy smears all over the glass surfaces. bathrooms smelled a bit odd as well. place looked more unkempt that it used to.

please note: this is about my order only.

order 1: (mine): rosemary chicken. around 8.50USD. very tough and hard to eat. had a bad texture that was hard to cut with a knife. normally this is smooth, soft, and juicy. however this time around it was very hard, and full of gristle. it was bad enough it hurt my gums and i couldn't eat anymore. it tasted bland and had very little spices. it also did not have cheese topping it normally did and it only had 3 shrooms. normally it has tons... even too much at times. this tasted and looked nothing like the rosemary chicken i loved this place for. the baked potato was bad too. it tasted wonky and the sour creame tasted like it went south. it was making me a little sick as well. my throat felt funny after eating it.

i spoke with the manager and he comped it, but had little else to say about it and he said it was how it's always been. i was dissapointed. at least i was able to make a salad at the salad bar.

service: our wairtress twila was very slow and apathetic and cold. she was avoidant and not engaging at all. it took a long time to get refills and she didnt make eye contact.

i will give then 1.7 stars. if the mgr didnt comp is it would be .5 stars. not very good going ENP. very dissapointed that you ruined my reason to go to your place.

Eat-n- park is my second pick for sensitive people


first of all the building seems big and roomy. The layout was ok and we were greeted and taken to our seat. We ate at around 8:00pm on a sunday night so the place wasn't too crowded.

The waitress was a “new girl” and she was doing all right so far.

She did take a sorta long time to get our drinks, but it was ok.

I ordered the rosemary chicken and had baked potato and salad.

The salad was cool and crisp I ate it while waiting for my baked potato/rosemary chicken.

The baked potato was nice and warm, not too hot and not too cold. They gave me a lot of sour cream and butter for it and it taste good. Not the best baked potato in the world, but very good.

The main course meal was pretty prompt at getting (got it the same time as the baked potato). And it tasted really good it was covered in this really nice sauce and had some tasty shrooms on top of it. I liked the sauce and the shroooms they made the chicken taste great.

The texture of the food was really good for me, a very very sensitive person to handle and I ate it with no problems.


I also noticed that they did seat people pretty close to me, yet their food smells didn't bother me and I didn't even smell their food. This is a HUGE plus to sensitive people who might lose their appetite with bad food smells from other people.

I notice that the menu has alternate foods like lower size portions, diet friendly meals, local produce, and even baby food upon request! That is very progressive!

It does seem they also put thought into the ventillation of the building. There was a raised celing right above the tables so it would keep it ventillated. And there were window alcoves aplenty with some plants in them (I think they were fake but they were a nice touch)

the bill for two people (we split the rosemary chicken) was 11.40! Not bad for two!

I do have to say I am very satisfied with eat-n-park and I would highly recommend it for most anyone. It's excellent for sensitive people and discerning families.

Please note:This will be another short and sweet review.

Intro/General descr: we all know this place has the “homestyle atmosphere” and the building itself looked nice with character, however you'll see that this does not always mean you will get a full tasting meal with that same character as well please read on....

I will also be focusing on my meal only this time.

Order 1 (mine): I had a sirloin steak and baked potato with a house salad. The house salad was ok, not much to report, the baked potato was good, but how can you mess that up? The steak was the blandest steak I've ever eaten. It had very little to no spices, it had a wonky texture, and A1 didn't even save it enough. I told the waitress and she got the manager and her resolved per my request to get me a chef salad (because how can you mess that up eh?) to take home since I wanted to go on with my day and go shopping...

hours later 3:30AM I dig into that salad and it's bland and the chicken tastes off! How can they get that wrong?

Service: The waitress was prompt enough and nice. But not enough to get this place 2 stars and make up for it.

Overall: I have to give this place 1 star. Bland food and overpriced, milks the homestyle atmosphere so you'll excuse the bland food, and the food seems to be an afterthought to the country store. Many themed restaurants have this problem.

Order1 (mine): I got different items this time. I got the Shrimp and Crab Tortellina Romana. It was really good. It was much better then the seafood alfredo they had. Conistancy was really good and it tasted good. I got a little buzz from it LOL. It made me feel good. The sauce wasn't seperated like the other sauce the other time. Cost:16.75

Order 2 (my husband's): Chicken Vino Blanco. He liked it, no problems to report. Cost:12.50

Order 3 (my sister's): create your own platter. She pretty much liked hers too. Cost 9.95

Service: meal came out pretty fast for us to get it. Waitress was pretty prompt, but not as personal as I liked but I think the style of the place is to let you enjoy your meal with minimal interruptions.

Please note: I payed for most of it with the gift card that I received from giving corp. feedback about the last experience. Our total was 47 bucks approx. it payed for 30 of it.

Overall: 4 stars Nice improvements Darden/Olive Garden!

Olive Garden review for 1.31.12

The experience (starter)

we kinda went here randomly because I had a stressful experience at wal-mart on the north side.

I was dehydrated and needed water asap. We were gonna pull into BK for a drink but the drive thru line was 12 cars. So we decided to stop at OG for a water and see how the place was...

we were taken to this little cafe like area that had a bar and some small 2 seat tabled (this was done to have a nice waiting area so people would not crowd the door) and given a pager like thing to let us know when our table was ready and they got us a water... we decided then that we would be eating there as I was getting hungry..

we then, after 20 mins approx was guided to our table... the waitress took our drink orders and we sipped our coffe and our pop while looking through the menu. The wait time was reasonable till we got our food.

The food (order)

I ordered the shrimp alfredo. The first bowl was very oily and it seperated after 3 minutes. After 5 bites all I could taste was the oil. Noodles were ok and the shrimp was fine, but both were overpowered by too much alfredo, now I've been making alfredo sause for years and I have never had mine seperate like that and I make it from scratch.

Order two (sister's)

she ordered a spicy Italian sausage soup that had 3 ingredients, and potatoes were one of them and she barely got any potatoes on hers. it had onion chunks in it and it took my sister a long time to pick them out. She has an intolerance to onions

she also ordered a spaghetti with meatballs and she asked if that had onion chunks and she said no, however it did. And she had to pick those out as well. Also the spaghetti had too much tomato chunks and not enough actual sauce. What was left was very water and did nothing for the pasta.

The result (combined)

we told the waitress this and she took our concerns and said she would get the manager, she got him and we explained to him and he was able to tell me that the alfredo stuff seperated because it was heated too fast and too quick, he offered to give us replacements for both our meals and my sister got a cheese fondue.

The resolution (combined)

I got a new alfredo meal that was better and didn't have the seperation issue and it tasted much better!

My sister got the fondue as a replacement. She was only charged for the cheaper fondue and mine was simply exchanged and no change to my charge. Both our drinks were comped.

The conclusion:

the experience was rocky at start, however was resolved. But still left a wonky taste in my mouth. As a result my experience was 2.8 stars and my sister was 2.5 stars.

This review is going to be short and sweet

intro:
wait time was very long but the place was packed. We opted for bar seating to expedite things by 20 minutes

order 1 and 2: (we both ordered the same thing) portabella chicken. Barely edible, first round was burnt very much and we asked for another, it was burnt tasting too. Only good things we had were the fries and baked potatoes, we both had zuccini and it was also burnt and not very eatable.

The only really good thing was the margaritas. They were refreshing. and the place had wifi, you need both to cope with the mediocrity of the meal and the long wait times.

Service:
manager seemed to try his best and was nice, but it wasn't good enough.

Overall 1 star and won't be returning. So this is the final review.
