Political strife/ conflicts... 1

Our economic system, legal system, democracy, and most other relationships are built around conflict, typically called competition, as a means of rationalizing the distribution of resources and power. We tacitly encourage it and then complain about the discord. Weird, eh.

Trouble is, oftentimes this approach doesn't lead to a more efficient distribution of power and resources. Hence the discord.
