One of the best news magazines written in English, regardless of political bent. The Economist is unapologetically conservative, but hardly in a way that will appeal to the religious right in North America. I read it fairly regularly, and while I far from in agreement with the entire editorial viewpoint, it is well worth reading. It also has the advantage of having a more global perspective than most magazines published in the U.S.

I am an avid reader of this excellent fare, and I hope it persists into the future.

Excellent periodical. Intelligent commentary on current events, wide coverage of many different areas, and not just in a peripheral way. The Economist is definitely on my list of weekly reads.

Lovely magazine with smart writers. Best part is: It will last you the entirety of a 2 hour flight!

The Sine-qua-non of journalism! Literate, thought provoking, informative and ocasionally funny tongue-in-cheek humor. The Economist sets the standard by which I judge all news magazines. So far every other one has come up lacking.
