HATTON FOUGHT A REALLY GREAT FIGHT, HOWEVER HE LOST! MAYWEATHER TALKS ALOT OF SMACK(TO SELL FIGHTS). SOME PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE AWAY THERE PERSONAL OPINIONS OF HIS PERSONALITY, AND REALIZE TALENT. IF RICKY WOULD HAVE NOT GOTTEN KNOCKED OUT, HE STILL WOULD'VE LOST. GPETE.

I would have to agree with Randyman on this and his comments just about sum it up!! Hatton fought a good fight that on many occasions was going against him because of the Ref Cortez. Hatton was spoken to on many occasions when Hatton was not doing anything wrong!!! Hatton worked at his game and worked at it good but I think Hattons display on the 7th round said allot!!! I believe Maywether realized for the first time he had met his match but was given a break through Cortez! Saying all that the punch that won the fight was a cracker at that!!! So much so that it sent Hatton to the corner post!! Well Mayweather you retained your 0, but I fear you have lost your appeal to many!!! Mayweather did show that he is a good boxer and a boxer that still displays great skill but I feel that Mayweathers money is more the bill. Mayweather you better watch out cause coward could the defining word if you choose not to fight again!!! Hatton you did us proud and there was no need to say sorry!!

Mayweather appeared to be overly respectful or scared for the first few rounds to the point where it made for an ugly fight. Joe Cortez for his part was just doing too much refereeing, which in this case, was more of a problem for Hatton than Mayweather. There was a certain sense of incompetence hanging over Joe Cortez all night. He continually warned the wrong man (Hatton) and he should have deducted a point from Mayweather for holding. In the middle rounds after regaining his confidence Mayweather started to assume control of the fight with his superior skills, though Ricky Hatton was still in the fight and it was ... Read more
