Their records sold reasonably well, and their live performances were influential on the San Francisco bands. Among others, the jack of all trades- multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, author, singer, etc, Al Kooper was in this group, as was Danny Kalb, who was a respected guitarist. The Blues Project didn't last particularly long, though they did reform a few times, and members from this group went on to form Seatrain and Blood, Sweat, and Tears. An important band.
