They know darn well that the name of their city is considered vulgar in the U.S.  I think they keep it that way for comic effect.

Word has it this town has had a severe problem with stolen signs. They've deterred this by using stronger concrete to hold the sign posts in place and putting the signs themselves on posts with... bigger screws.

Its not only their name its also their favorite past time!

I want to steal whatever sign they have welcoming you to town, or better yet, the one on the way out that says "come again..."
