Take a good look at film clips of Jim Brown in his prime. . .if the camera technology existed, you could have seen the terrified looks on the faces of a few would-be tacklers. . .Brown was a sight to see. . .

when looking at jim brown's career, you have to remember that he retired at the height of his career. he didn't play a down in the nfl after his 30th birthday. if he had played another 5 years, he could have gained 20,000 yards.

Jim Brown is hard for me to rate. He gets the 5 stars for his shear dominance of the league during his time, but I often wonder how he would have performed in todays bigger and faster steroid age. Then again maybe you could say he would have been bigger and faster too (that is scary). If he was on the board it would make my decision very tough.

I wouldn't want to overlook the benefits of having this guy in the backfield.

Big, strong, fast and tough. Much like Sanders, in that he gained most of his yards with defenses keyed entirely to him, given the rest of the Brown's popgun offense.

He always seemed to get up slowly out of the pile, stroll back to the huddle, then run the football over some poor linebacker on the next play.
