This structure housed the city's public library after it was built in 1897, but has been a center for visual and performing arts since 1991. The interior is lavishly designed and decorated with marble, hardwood, stained glass, brass, and mosaics of glass and stone. The Tiffany dome highlighting the Center's center is said to be the largest of its kind in the world. Events here include art, concerts, films, lectures, and more.
