This is a great convertible carseat and very safe. I was able to use it for my 4 pound infant (with an added head positioner (any other full body padding is dangerous so don't bother getting it, the police department made us take it out). It works for infants and toddlers. Worth the money because you only buy one. This is not good for you if you are using a travel system (stroller/carseat combo) because obviously you will have a carseat/carrier that clips in and out of the car. This is good if you are okay with taking the baby out everytime. I love it.1
