With the disbanding of Beulah, it's up to the Apples to carry the torch of happy / hooky / catchy / Beach Boysy indie pop music. This is one fun band - I had the chance to see them at Primavera Sound and they were among the better live acts that I saw. They're a bunch of super high energy, happy go lucky, middle age guys belting out catchy tunes. Check out "Energy" or "The Bird that you can't See."
