Back in May, I got a deal through Costco to have Sierra Air come out and do maintenance on my AC. The tech was very nice. He informed me that I would need a new unit soon because the frame on mine is almost completely rusted out. Since the unit is 22 yrs. old, I figured he was probably right. When it started making a huge racket yesterday, I called Sierra Air. I asked the woman who answered the phone if they were sure that there was no way to repair it. I realized that she would have to ask a tech to speak with me. Instead, she said, "And you did not ask the tech who came to your house this question because...?" They had quoted me almost $9,000 to replace my unit. I guess they throw in the rudeness for nothing. I got off the phone with receptionzilla and called Larson Air. They were very nice and they had someone out at my house within the hour. They're coming first thing this morning to install a new unit. Here's the kicker: it's costing me $1500 less! I guess I owe Ms.... Read more

I was also introducted to Sierra Air through Costco. We live in Pahrump and every other month or so we drive down to Costco for supplies and such. We've had a lame AC for quite a few years now. It works, but not very well and in Nevada heat no one wants a spastic cooling system. We saw the table and decided to ask if they even would service out in Pahrump. Not only did they service Pahrump, but they were out to our house within two days. The guy they sent out was very helpful and told us how much we'd spend to upgrade our units. We just really appreciated the fact that a Las Vegas company took the time to come out to see us and still didn't charge us for the visit. Due to finances and such, we can't yet afford to buy a new unit. But when we can, we'll be happy to go with Sierra Air. Thank you!!

I was introduced to this company through Costco. After a freezing cold night early in December and a unit that decided to give out, my husband remembered that we'd seen a Lennox dealer inside of Costco. We made a quick trip out the next morning and within a week we were all settled into our new system and have been absolutely loving it! From the moment we walked up to the table inside of Costco, the experience was good. The girl at the table was very nice and took down our name and information and when we explained that it was an emergency, she assured us that someone would be out the next day. And they were! By ten the next morning a tech had come and gone. All of the people we spoke to were helpful and kind. We now have a brand new AC and heating unit and are thrilled with how quiet they are. We can't wait to see the savings on our bills. Not to mention the $700 cash card we just got in the mail from Costco. What a deal! What a service! Will definitely recommend to friends and fa... My neighbor has been using Sierra Air Conditioning for years. My neighbor said whenever he needs something looked at, if the parts don't need to be replaced, they won't take you for your money! He said there have been numerous times where he's called a Sierra tech thinking a part need to be replaced. When the tech showed, he was honest and didn't replace a part thought to be broken. My neighbor has nothing but compliments. He has also commented that their prices are one of the lowest. I used Sierra Air Conditioning for the first time last week and they were great! They were friendly, honest, very knowledgable and prices were great. My heater wasn't working. I called them on Tuesday night and they were there on Wednesday morning. I looked around the whole Las Vegas area for the best pricing. If you hear anything negative about their pricing...especially on this comment site...don't believe it. They probably just blew things our or proportion and misunderstood something. From everyting ... Read more

Called for repair since they installed the system. The person kept insisting had two units installed. I only have one. After giving them my information they hung up on me without any further comments. I waited for a call back. After 15 minutes I called them. they said their phone system automatically hangs up after a few minutes. I wonder how they can enter calls if this is true? After half an hour I was contacted by their dispatcher and told that the technician would arrive in one to two hours. After two hours no one came to my house. I called and told them to cancel the call because their technician never showed up. Half an hour later I get a call from their dispatcher saying the technician in on his way to my house. AGAIN I told them to cancel the call since they were unable to keep the appointment they set, or call me and tell me what was happening. Terrible customer service.

I have been using Sierra Air for many years now, they have always been up front and honest with all the work they do at my house. A friend recommended this company to me when I first moved here 12 years ago and I recommended them to anyone that asks me for an air conditioning company. They have done great work and everyone I have ever dealt with has gone above and beyond for me.

Simply put, their prices are exhorbinant. They are legal but you can get the work down with other companies for 1/2 price. beware of their gaurantees (free parts/only pay labor). their labor fees sometimes go up to 600 $ an hour!

This is hard for me to believe – I actually was logging in to find their number for my annual seasonal start up and found this web site. I have to say that my experience is quite the opposite of Barry’s and I am here to give credit to the professional and up front approach to service. The old unit on my house has been serviced as needed for the past 15 years by Sierra Air Conditioning – and I have always been given choices and prices up front with which to make my decision before any work was ever done. So much so that I used them to change out my entire system this year after they came out and did an assessment and energy comparison on my current unit (20 years old). Since the average life of a house A/C is about 12-15 years, I can honestly say that I owe the life of that unit to Sierra’s service techs and their annual season start ups, money well spent. I have to agree with Barry, he said it himself, he was made fully aware of the costs before the tech ever touches the unit and ... Read more

On September 2, 2008 I called Sierra Air Condioning for a Warranty Service call. The "Warranty" Service call do diagnose the problem was $105.00. The diagnosis, the air handler blower motor was burned out and had to be replaced. If I wanted it replaced with one from the service truck, the "labor fee" was $337.00 but if he reassembled the air handler with the old motor, that was included in the $105.00 diagnosis fee. All of this was for a Warranty Call since Sierra Air had installed the system less than three years prior. To top it off, the service tech demanded payment before he reassembled the air handler with the new motor, (no charge for the motor), but a total of $442.00 for a total of about 45 minutes work. When I contacted the owners of Sierra Air about their price gouging, the made no apology for the outrageous fee. The said they had office overhead and a lot of legal fees. No wonder. My recommendaton is to stay as far away from Sierra Air Conditoning Inc. Lic. # 26554A as you... Read more
