 | Vudija (101) 05/17/2007 | I took a semester there about 2 years ago. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to this school.
First, they didn't inform me that the school is pretty much geared towards people who have not been in school for 10 years. It's all review of things those people would have forgotten since high school. I was in a class that taught me basic English skills, I felt like I was learning the basics of reading all over again.
Then, my cousin found out from a staff member that the school is pretty much a diploma-mill. The teacher's get fired if students recieve "F's", so the teachers dummy the books so it looks as though all his/her students are passing the class. No one can fail at that school, and because everyone knows it - you can't get a job with the degree you leave the school with. No one in Florida will accept a degree from here anymore. My cousin went in studying to become a nurse and upon finding this info. out, she talked to every hospital in a 50 mile radius and was refused by each and every one.
Then, found out the credits only transfer to ONE other school. So, when you finish your Assoc. here, you have no choice as to where you finish up. I was just told that my credits are useless anywhere else and I'd have to take the classes all over again if I went anywhere other than this one school they link to. I paid about 3k for that semester and I have to pay on the credits I can't even use.
And after telling me the school was ONLY geared towards those who hadn't been in school for 10 years; I saw a commercial less than 6 months after I abandoned courses and the school was using it to lure kids fresh out of high school. Talk about fraud...
