That curveball is a thing of beauty. The only thing that can stop Cole Hamels is injury and himself. He rubs Philly brass and a few fans the wrong way with his uber-laid-back California cool (Having a personal massuese just isn't east-coast) but Philly should realize this is the best pitching prospect the team has had in several presidents. If Hamels blossoms, we could be talking about a five-star pitcher.

Hamels is a good player who is on the fringe of becoming a great pitcher. He still needs to show a little more to me, but I think he is on his way.

Cole is the real deal. performances like his 15-k outing against Cincy last week will become more and more common as the season progresses. both he and Carlos Zambrano (CHC) announced before the season began that they would win the NL Cy Young. Cole is winning the race thus far.
