I just can not agree that the global warming is caused by the civilization influence on the nature. I think, the certain temperature trend reflects a small curve in the global up-and-down graph, that have reasons much more powerful than the human activities on the Earth. Do you really think that the raising temperature on Mars (the same trend as on Earth) is also caused by man-made reasons? I see the distinctive political background, playing the "global warming card". And many scientists refuse to play this game with politicians. For example, Claude Allegre, one of the leading French scientists, who was among the first trying to highlight the "global warming" danger 20 years ago, changed his mind, based on the many years of the scientific data, and now beleive that "global warming" is a result of the natural changes, and the danger is highly exaggerated.

 | Victor83 (35) 03/18/2007 | As the forwarding of the theory of manmade global warming is both inane and driven by a scurrilous political agenda, I find AL Gore quite adequate for his role.

 | CanadaSucks (48) 03/18/2007 | Gore (the least likeable man I've ever met) has partially damaged the issue by being a central figure that should be the bastion of the scientific community. . .not that America has cared so much for science as it might threaten some of our dogmatic approaches to certain problems. . .

 | EschewObfuscation (65) 03/18/2007 | "An Inconvenient Truth" is a spectacular piece of cinematographical propaganda. Spectacular. Many reasonable, thoughtful, objective-thinking people leave the theater as global warming zealots. Which would explain why many high schools across the country require their students AND their parents to view it, at the risk of receiving a reduced grade for not viewing it. It is brilliant. I've seen it, Joseph Goebbels would have been proud of it. It won an Oscar! But not for a political propaganda project, as a documentary, which it is not.
