The overlooking of Florida after their early loss to Auburn (I think?) left all of the pressure on OSU, the Gators had nothing to lose as such prohibitive underdogs, as determined by the betting lines which are a factor of the hype and the ESPN-factor. Florida played a tougher overall schedule and showed their mettle after spotting OSU an early TD.

But, as far as I can tell, I'm sure OSU wanted it really bad, but they didn't push quite as hard as the Gators did, and OSU seemed to really just let everything fall apart after their first play. A lot of the folks around here (Gainesville), though glad the Gators won, are disappointed that the game wasn't a close one.
