the salem nh babies r us is one of the most dsyfunctional retail stores i have ever shopped in. there is no one to ever help you.the lines are ridiclous and the staff is poorly trained.i am on my 2 nd child (after 5 years) and i have to say the store has gone downhill since my first child. there was always someone to help you, the lines were never long. the store manager (think his name was rob? ) was a sweetheart! always walking around the store helping the customers and even the employees... now they have these managers that are rude and have no clue wtf they are doing...there is one tall skinny man think hes the manager he is a real asshole! could care to shits if you have a problem or need something.. I havent seen him inawhile, prob got fired! anyways, i wont be shopping there for the new baby.. i will go elsewhere and will make it a point to make sure I spread the word! babies r us sucks!

Don't waste your time or money at these stores. The most disfunctional store I have ever shopped in. Horrible customer service, lines are always out the door because they never have enough registers open...Had major problems with my registry and there wasnt one person who can fix it. Go elsewhere!

I used to be a frequent shopper at Babies R us. I was in the store at least 2-3 times a week. The customer service and there in stock's have gone way down. There arent enough knowldegable employees or not enough people to help you. The stores used to give 5 star service and I now rate that about a 2. And thats on a good day there. I dont know what happened to the company over the past year or who is making the wrong choices but it seems to me they dont know what there doing. There is alot of other stores that have a better selection of products(that are in stock) and I would rather shop there. I have to say , I am expecting my 3 rd child and I wont be shopping or starting a registry with them Babies R us that is for sure! Good bye and thanks for nothing!

Babies R us is the worst place to shop...There employees are poorly untrained probably cause the mangers dont have a frigen clue what there doing....One of the worst stores to shop at. They never have anything in stock, never have a clue when it will be back in stock. The lines are ridiclous. You would think when they have four managers standing around barking orders on there handheld phones that they would jump on a damn register...I hate the stores and looking forward to buy buy baby coming into my area.....Dont waste your time shopping or creating a registry at that hell hole!

Also, long time customer, family members long time customers... but when you have original delivery package, original items untouched, original reciept, and you make the return after 90 days... (by the way there is no return by date on the receipts in package, or on the print out receipt from my computer) and you are refused a return... I refuse to purchase from ToysRus ever again. I had the same problem as Mark did below. I ordered a Soothe and Glow Seahorse for one of my babies christmas presents last Friday morning. I called tonight to see if I would still be getting it by Christmas only to be told that my order was cancelled on Saturday. Why did I not receive an e-mail stating so? It would have been nice to know so I could have bought it somewhere else. Not only that they had already charged my credit card and have not yet refunded my money. I also asked if they will honor the sale price when I go to reorder it and that was a big "No" too. I think it is BS.

This is one of the stores we'll be glad to see out of business.  We wanted to exchange an unopened gift shipped directly from the company, and the sales lady said that internet purchases cannot be exchanged.  Pls note that the original receipt was there, and the item was purchased 1 week ago.  I just ended up leaving  the toy in the store.

I only gave it a 1 because I could not figure out how to give them ZERO stars. Their online ordering system does not check for availability and our grandaughter will not be getting her Christmas present as they cancelled our order after charging our credit card. We are still waiting for the funde to be returned to our account. Do not count on their web shopping.

I went to babies r us today to pick up a few things and when I paid I was asked to apply for the babies r us credit card. The 10% discount sounded tempting because I needed a new stroller but didn't have the time to pick one out at that moment. I asked the associate if I could use it online later and she said of course. So I purchased the few items I came in for and left. Later while on the computer I realized not only would the discount not apply but you can't use the credit card online either! So I called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do to help me. So I opened up a credit card to get 10% off baby food and lotion. Of course they're not going to help me, especially not since I was going to buy a $350 stroller tonight! Companies really need to properly train their employees.

Seems like everyone comes on here to run their mouth. You didn't have your receipt and now you're cranky? That's just crazy and rest assured, kids, numbah is still a Toys R Us kid...

The straw that broke the giraffe's back. Toys R Us return/and or exchang policy is shameful. My child will definately not be a toys r us kid ANYMORE! My boss held an easter party and bought 6 toys each for 26 kids. How generous. For Toys r Us to require a gift receipt for every six toys his check out would have been a nightmare. He bought tons of toys not cheap ones either. He distributed the toys so each kid could would have the same amount so at the time of checkout he would not have been able to sort every toy out anyways. I went to return a Spiderman 3 web blaster which was too big for my son and the box had the Toys R Us sticker on it with the price scratched off. The new display was right in front of the store Customer Service area. The supposed manager barked at me no receipt no exchange. I had no idea and have spent thousands of dollars this past year with my son and new baby which I registered for. I had not returned anything until now and was treated like a dog!!!!!! Many... I have tons of baby cousins and such to buy for each year; Toys-R-Us has been a lifesaver the last couple of Christmas seasons...plus, I worked there last season and I'd use it as an excuse to visit my old co-workers haha

As of today, Toys R Us will NEVER, EVER get another cent of my money. At one time, this toy store use to be my first choice in places to shop for birthday gifts, christmas gifts, etc. I've spent A LOT of money there, as has my mother who spoils my children far too much. I have tolerated the lack of merchandise in stock and the poor quality of toys I have received from their stores purely for convenience shopping and ease of return. No longer!!!! Since Christmas I have tried to return several gifts my son received. I understand the need for receipts in today's world where so much is purchased over the internet. What put me over the edge was this. Two items which I did not have receipts for were branded in large letters - TOYS R US EXCLUSIVE! Okay fine, I consented, I did not have a receipt and found it too awkward to ask the gift giver who didn't provide one. Today, however, I went to return a Christmas gift that we received just this weekend from a friend we haven't seen in so... Read more

I did NOT shop at Toys r us this past christmas season. I will NEVER shop at a Toys r us or Babies r us again. I ordered a high chair. They canceled the order, and then told me 4 weeks later that they had shipped it and then they charged my credit card. I had already ordered another one on Amazon. They were sent as gifts to my SIL. So I had to be the jerky SIL and call her to ask her to return one. Toys r us really put me in a pickle. They will never get another penny of my money.

This will be my son's first Christmas, so there is a greater chance than previous that I will make it into Toys "R" Us. I don't plan on shopping there, but my wife and I might get drawn into one for something.

not anymore. for one thing, my kids are past toys. so the only thing we may get there are video games. the second reason is the big toys r us closed. and they opened a smaller scaled down toys r us instead. there were not anywhere near as many choices. and the store was less than half the size. we tried to shop last Christmas for a niece and nephew and left disappointed. so now they get no more than a three.

I prefer specialized shops. For games, I like going to EB (Electronics Boutique). For pleasant-smelling lotions and body washes, I like going to Victoria's Secret or Bath and Body Works. For candles, I like Yankee Candle. But, for toys, I still love going to Toys R' Us. It's not what it used to be, that's for sure, and it looks like Toys R' Us is on its way out. But maybe it's the kid in me who loved going to Toys R' Us that still prefers that over going to just the toy section in Target or Walmart.
