 | AmyB (19) 10/17/2006 | My grandfather never went to the dentist. When one of his front teeth would be coming loose and getting ready to fall out, he would wiggle it with his tongue. It was impossible to carry on a conversation with him and not stare at the tooth going back and forth, back and forth. I wonder if he ever figured out why nobody looked him in the eye when he was talking to them? We were all just morbidly fascinated by the loose teeth.

 | CastleBee (81) 10/17/2006 | There are a lot of genetic factors regarding all the points on this list. However, I've known of several pretty old folks who have most, if not all, their teeth. It pays to see your dentist on a regular basis.

 | Djahuti (54) 10/17/2006 | I lost a few to peridontal disease, then I got smart and started going to the dentist regularly and using floss or a water pick.My gums are in good shape now.Even the "young" need to practice good dental hygeine or they will loose teeth (and have horrendous breath).

 | SharonParry (42) 10/17/2006 | Oh, anxiety strikes! I can't imagine life with trouble chewing corn and nuts and apples. At 47, I only have 2 molars missing so far. And, yes, Ridge, one of them is from biting off a cap... a craft paint cap though, at the age of 15.
