A great passer, ball handler, good if not great scorer from their dynasty years, did some coaching and made the Hall of Fame. For years, Bob Cousy was one of their television announcers, and while he was pretty insightful, I don't think I understood a third of what he said- Cousy was from New York City, played college ball at Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and of French or French Canadian ancestry, his parents might have been immigrants, I can't remember. In any case, those weren't the reasons that I could barely understand Bob Cousy, he didn't speak in a NYC, central Massachusetts, or French accent, he spoke in a slurred accent apparently native only to Cousys.
