This song came from Live's 1st album, which wasn't as successful as their follow up. Nevertheless, this is a great song that I love to this day.

I rediscovered this song some months ago, and now I can't believe that it had slipped my memory. With "I Alone" and "Pain Lies By The Riverside", Live bookends their catalog with their two best singles, the former an acoustic gem and the latter a driving early 90's alternative track that is just as personal. Notwithstanding my admiration, "Pain Lies On The Riverside" failed to break the American Top 40 and hasn't been covered as far as I'm aware.
