    Couldn't act a lick, but given the impressive engineering of her anatomy, no one much cared. Most famous for her starring role in "Attack of the 50 foot Woman" and she could scream the house down in the B-movie trash she appeared in.

    Wow, was I in love with this woman! When I was a tot, and Chiller Theatre came on WPIX in NY on Saturday nights, the opening (before they started utilizing the claymation 6-fingered hand emerging from a bog that most people of my generation from the NY-NJ area are familiar with) was a montage of scenes from various horror movies, and one of the scenes was Hayes as the 50-foot woman walking into the high-voltage power line that fans of "Attack of the 50-foot Woman" are familiar with; the first time I saw that scene, in the presence of a baby-sitter, my tender heart was lost forever, and I couldn't have been older than 5! What magnificence...what a woman! For years, "Attack of the 50-foot Woman" was my favorite movie of all time, and I still love it to this day. It's still a potently-crappy, cheesy, 1950's-style, grade-D delight.
