Silent comedian Harold Lloyd climbs the entire height of a Los Angeles skyscraper without wires, or nets. Lloyd dangles from a broken clock face on the topmost floor above moving traffic despite having only three fingers on his right hand.

This was truly death-defying, but Lloyd probably wasn't nuts. Back then, if you wanted a stunt done, you just did it, as insane as it might have been (like this one). Today, a star wouldn't be allowed to perform a stunt like this. Between insurance, unions and Computer Image Generators, the star would be a very small part of the stunt.4
