I have a pair of Durango boots that I guess can best be described as western style work boots. They look like cowboy boots, including a high heel, but the sole is rubber. I've had them for about five years, and while they're starting to show some wear, they still seem in pretty good shape. I've worn them in snow and ice, and the rubber sole means they actually have some traction. Wear real cowboy boots in snow and ice and you're likely to fall on your ass. They're more comfortable than the two pairs of real cowboy boots I own, and almost as comfortable as my basketball shoes. If they still make the same style once these wear out (as of right now they still do), I'll definitely buy another pair, as for just over $100, they're the best deal on well made yet comfortable boots you'll find.

I have a couple pair of Durangos. They are a lower cost line but wear alright. I think they run a little small to size, so if you are shopping and you look at Durangos, try a half size or a full size larger. Wear a thicker sock if you buy larger. That works for me.

Had a pair of these some years back. Looked good, but didn't wear particularly well, and as they broke in the fit seemed to change fairly dramatically. Never bought a pair since.
