 | Underspin (24) 03/28/2006 | A lasting stereotypical character utilized by certain left-wing elites to depict your average ignorant, intolerant, working-class white male. There is little to like about Archie Bunker, a bigoted blue collar couch potato who complains incessently about practically everything, from Edith's cooking to the changing attitudes/social norms of American society. While Bunker is a deeply cynical and rather angry individual, I don't consider him to be altogether "stupid" for the most part, but instead, merely incapable of adjusting past the 1950's era of his earlier life.

 | Drummond (58) 03/27/2006 | Archie had a lot of dumb things to say, but if you watch the series you'll notice that his character evolves, and that he has actually learned a few things over his 50 years of life.
