What a classic and Nicholson was at his best!

No problem with this one, which beat out Jaws, Dog Day Afternoon. and, I think, Nashville. On a related note, Robert Shaw really should've won best supporting actor that year for playing Quint in Jaws, over the winner. I forget who that was though.

It was a splendid movie and a tour de force for Jack Nicholson. The ending was compelling and bittersweet. I was dejected to see Billy and McMurphy die, but happy to see The Chief make his flight.

excellent movie. well done in all areas. jack nicholson and Louise Fletcher both deserved their oscars. the supporting cast was great, funny, sad. just good all around.
