I rarely drink. I don't like most alcohol; I only like the girly mixed drinks. When I do drink, my friends are well aware of how much I'm drinking. No reason to lie.

Used to lie about it to myself. Would wake up in the morning, excruciatingly hung-over, and say to myself, "Nah, I couldn't have had that much to drink." Then I'd count the bottles and realize I had had even more.

I know when that is but I usually deny it strongly.

Tell me if this sounds at all familiar, "Just a couple at the beginning of the evening, Officer."

Did you ever hear about the 4 beer rule?Men will admit to one, two, three or four  beers.  Any beers after four, are described as having "four beers"

Ehhh, depends.....honesty is always the best policy.  Its tough to think that though, if you had too many to drink, and the cops got you pulled over.  Sometimes you gotta bite the bullet lol.

Is it still lying if you can't remember so you just throw out some not too unreasonably large number?

That's preposterous! Especially if it's lying to the police. Like they're not going to find out EXACTLY how much on their own? Why lie? If you're drunk, you're drunk.

Guilty at times. When I do drink a lot I will knock a beer or two off of the total. Luckily for me I am only fibbing to my wife and not the cops.

Sometimes people just don't need to know how much I've had to drink.

Personally, I don't drink, so I'd have to fake being drunk to lie. But, for the drinkers out there, if it gets to the point that someone has to ask, there's probably no way you'd remember. The lie would be, "Not much". The truth would be, "Ah canut memember."

You can lie all you want, but when you're speech is slurred, and you're stumbling down the sidewalk, and you're breath stinks like a brewery, looking for a toilet to stick your head into, no one is going to believe you anyway. Don't ask how I know.

Know how you can tell you've had to much to drink? You go to brush something off your sholdier and it's the floor.

There comes a certain point where lying or telling the truth becomes moot in this situation

I don't bother. I know my limit and if I plan to pass it, I don't drive. Most of the time it looks like I drink more than I do because I drink slowly.

I'm a light weight and know my limit. I'm pretty much always the designated driver and it's much more fun just watching everyone else make a fool of themselves. I don't NEED anything to drink to have fun, in fact it's quite the opposite. DON'T DRINK & DRIVE, please!!!! Be responsible enough to call someone or sleep it off.

Those who dont handle alcohol well will for sure. Its part of "not being able to handle alcohol". Not knowing limits, not cutting your self off, lying etc...all signs of a "bad drunk".

It's always the same answer: none. I don't do alcohol at all. I just don't have an urge to do it.

I may downplay it here and there, but once or twice you wouldn't have gotten a straight answer because I lost track. (hiccup)

Instead of lying, they should hand their car keys to someone else.
