They're so funny to think at!Remember those power business women with big shoulder pads on their extra-large business jackets and their extra-heavy cell phones ... it was da thing man!

My first cell phone was a bag phone. While I don’t remember what it weighed sure seemed like it was more than two pounds. I don’t miss it, god that thing was a pain. However I will say it had better reception than today’s micro cell phones.

The first cell type phone I saw was a Haliburton brief case phone back in the mid 80's. It was more like an infantry walkie talkie in a brief case. It literally took up the entire brief case. Weighed a ton and cost as much.

Lol Thank God! Cordless house phones arent even as big as the first cell phones were. Imagine if they never changed and we were all still walking around with these huge monstrosities. But you know what, they went from being too big to some of them being too small. I saw a phone no bigger than a cigarette lighter, thats a bit rediculous i think.

I kind of miss those things that flipped out like a large version of the old Star Trek communicators. Since people are starting to do more online and computer related stuff on their phones, I wonder if large phones won't come back.

My dad had this ridiculously huge one when they first came out. Mine is about a tenth the size (maybe less) and has a camera on it.
