"Hamish, this place you live in..." "It's called Lochdubh." "Would I like it there?" "You'd love it there. You'd love it." No Man Is An Island - Series 2 Quirky, endearing characters brought to life by a wonderful ensemble cast. Don't look for complicated plotlines, just relax and enjoy this sweet, earnest series.

Someone who has read the Hamish MacBeth books may be disappointed because most of the TV series main characters (village folk who are MacBeth's friends) have different names and personalities than the characters in the books. I found season 1 to be VERY amusing and entertaining. I am looking forward to release of season 2 on DVD.Update 10/3/07.... I have viewed the 2nd season episodes and was very disappointed. The charm and hi-jinks that made the first season episodes so enjoyable are totally lacking in the 2nd ... Read more

Whimsical British mystery. The quirkiness of the of the townspeople and the plot makes this mystery fun to watch.
