A creepy song by some of the creepiest guys ever to slither out of Michigan. At the end of the song, Iggy screams out, "I LOVE YOOUUUU!!!" with such seething hatred that it can generate a shuddering chill even after all these years in the spine of those tender listeners who may still be unfamiliar with the early Stooges work. Keep in mind that this nihilism and rage came out during the height of the Peace-and-Love hippie era. For those audiences out there now who think middle-aged Iggy is a wild man, check out this early work, when he was in his fierce and feral prime. I'm very happy he's alive and well, and wish him the best, but nothing he's done in the past 30 years comes close to matching the caustic intensity of what he and the Stooges created in the late 60's/early 70's. Then again, not a whole lot of anything else comes close either.3

A very, very Doors -like song from Iggy and The Stooges on their eponymous debut. It builds slowly and ominously before exploding into a heavy, slightly crazy if you will, crescendo.1
