I have this dream now and then about a course in college that I didn't know I had, and I received a telephone call that I have an exam in the course either this afternoon or first thing tomorrow morning. I scramble around trying to figure out what the course is all about.

I've been having this dream lately, quite frequently and it's really pissing me off, that I'm on campus somewhere in a building and I've realized that there is this class that I signed up for but I missed the first 4 or 5 classes. At this point, I try and sneak in and see if I can just get away with it, but it's filled with anxiety and really, I'm not sure if I'm going to able to get back into this class. And already I've got 3 or 4 classes and a pretty full schedule, so I'm not sure if I can fit this in but I need it to graduate. Yesterday I met a manager for a competetive company and he was describing this dream, the exact dream. So maybe we're just on campuses too much and it's bringing back some old fears.

It happened once, about 10 years after I graduated, but it was pretty vivid, and I tend to be one of those people that don't remember their dreams. In my dream, I found out we were having the final test the next morning for a class I hadn't even realized I was supposed to be attending (which, given my partying when I was in college, wasn't all that implausible)! I remember awakening in a panic, thinking frantically to myself, "What am I supposed to do do now?", and it was several seconds before reality set in. The sense of relief was tremendous.

When I was in second year University I broke my leg and had difficulty getting from class to class, especially a Math course that was on the far side of campus. As a result I missed a lot of those classes and fell far behind. I told myself I would get the notes, study the text and keep up, but it didn't happen. I knew I was going to bomb the exam. I eventually dropped the course, on the Voluntary Withdrawl deadline date. But to this day, when I am falling behind at work, or when life is getting hectic and things are piling up I have my "Business Math B" dream and wake up in a cold sweat thinking I need to get up and hit the books. The course was in 1981, and I had the dream a couple of weeks ago.

I used to have this dream frequently. Generally, I am back in college and I have to pass this important test or I will not graduate.

Had one about the Bar Exam where they put Linear Algebra on it and I was the only one who didn't know about it ahead of time.

Even though i have not been in high school or college for years, every once in awhile I dream I am suddenly back in school. the frustrating part is I am confused about it. I cannot understand why I am there yet i am being told to get to class and oh there's a test. "a test? what test? i am not supposed to be here!"I do not know where my class is and i am wandering around trying to figure out what to do.

I've taken more than my share of these and I never dreamed about any of them. . .I approached them with a military attitude of 'win the battle before it's ever fought' and over-prepared. . .

I remember this like it was yesterday. It was my second year of Law School, which is intense. It is the year that they pile a crapload of work upon you. In Law School you are commonly tested once - a 3 or 4 hour exam at the end of the semester. You're feeling ill or having a bad day? Too bad. Skate or die. Normally, the exam period works in the fashion that a student has an exam, an off day, and then another exam. My schedule was such that I had 3 back to back and then an off day before the last one. The course I was (most) worried about was Products Liability. It was the last of the the 3 consecutive exams. It's not that I didn't have a reasonable understanding of the subject. It was that I knew that the other students did and that competition for the limited number of A's and B's would be intense. I was also aware that the other students would get more last minute studying done because the large majority of them would have at least one empty day before the test. Well,... Read more
