This was actually the first rock band that I ever saw live! I was thirteen and went with a group of friends to Knott's Berry Farm, in Buena Park, Ca. They happened to be the featured act at the brand new 'John Wayne Theater'. Mark Lindsey still had the little pony tail and they played all of the hits including, "Where the Action Is", "Kicks", "Indian Reservation" etc. I always thought that they were just a t.v. band like the Partridge Family, or the Monkees, or whatever (They were the house band for the t.v, music show, 'Where the Action Is.') It was a pretty cool show, as I recall. The first real concert that I saw was Frank Zappa and the Mothers with Captain Beefheart, and Dr. John at the Inglewood Forum on New Years Eve, 12/31/1975. (I already knew that they really played their instruments!)
