I love these guys! The lead singer is a vegan! They could be a little tighter in person, however...

So far so good. I love their song "I Still Remember" and their sound is nice not to mention a highly intelligent lead singer which makes a difference from the norm of what is expected of Indie Rock Musicians. Everytime I look at them I do laugh however as I remember Liam Gallagher's comment of them looking more like a University Challenge Quiz Team than a rock band lol!

Offer a fresh new sound to the indie scene but try too hard to add political meaning to their songs

So far I like Bloc Party slightly more than some of the other retro 80's knock off bands - they sound a little like very early Police, with a driving, punk sound (think "so lonely"). Like Daedelus says, it's way early to be judging these guys yet.

One of the many 80's sounding bands to get recognition in the last year of two. The verdict is not yet in though, they need to record much more before being judged.
