Dressing sexy (applies to teen girls) to attract the opposite sex

Yeah, like its only "teenage" women who do this.

  In olden times (beginning in the '50s), most teenage girls and boys dressed to attract those they were attracted to, though most parents drew the line at extreme sluttinesss. Many popular songs of the period celebrated the beauty of teenage girls. Now we're all required to pretend we believe nature is perverse. I think it's because television 'news' focuses on 'too many sickos, rapists, pedophiles, etc.' and has too many of us convinced there's a predator  lurking behind every bush.

It is a stupid thing to do, but it does happen. It is just a dangerous way to get attention. It isn't so cool when you end up getting attention from people you don't want it from. There are too many sickos, rapists, pedophiles, etc.

Well said Frogio. Sexy is so many things other than peddling flesh! The smart Mothers teach this to their daughters!! My daughter will try to push her limits here and there...just gotta stay on em.

So maybe it's just me, but this goes right along with posting sexy photos online. It doesn't only attract the 2 boys you have a crush on, but anyone else who might be seeing you that way, especially the pervs who look for girls just like that. These girls are just asking for trouble, and I don't mean from their parents or teachers...

Yes...everybody knows about teen girls who try to dress like adults in order to appear cooler. This might be harmless at times, but then again there are moment when the way these girls dress attracts negative attention that can do a great deal of harm to these girls.

Sometimes a girl can pull it off well if she doesn't dress like she's too desperate to attract attention and/or popularity. It has to be very subtle for it to be a hit.

Half the girls that were trampy at my high school have a bunch of kids and look pretty busted these days.

This is when girls may be more aware of their bodies and even themselves getting older and in order for people to notice they flaunt the little or even biggest assets of what they have. Most parents - most rightly disagree - as this can cause the wrong type of attention. You can be sexy in many ways and not just by dressing provocatively.

Combination of hormones, Mother Nature and a desire for attention. For some girls bad attention is better than none.

If girls today dressed sexy in my generation, i would of had to relieve myself in the school bathroom.

Unfortunately, it might attract the WRONG attention.
