 | souljunkie (20) 01/03/2006 | I think this would be a great idea for violent criminals and drug dealers. Let them live in fear amongst those like themselves. Thats my kind of justice. For petty crimes and certian "white collar" crimes I would do something different. I would not want to put some guy who comitted mail fraud in with the muderers and gangsters, but those who sit around and create computer viruses, crimes like that that cause all millions of dollars...throw them in with the bottom feeders. They deserve it.

 | jamestkirk (23) 01/02/2006 | That's an idea that most folks have thought about from time to time, I'm sure. I wonder how practical it would be, and you sure would have to feel for the 1% innocent who would be sent to such a place.

 | Underspin (24) 12/31/2005 | Yup, there certainly are a number of different sci-fi books and even a few really cheesey flicks made about the creation of some type of future prison planet...obviously the kicker is, there's no escape!...or is there??
Regarding an actual global state for all prisoners, needless to say this could not occur unless their was a kind of ruling one-world government. Otherwise, each state's laws and regulations pertaining to prisoner rights, freedoms, punishment, sentencing, etc would be so radically different that any kind of compromise would clearly be impossible.
