I think he overdoes it a little. It is the point of the show to him to kind of put down people that are not talented and talk to those that he likes. He really doesn't help at all a lot of the people that audition. But I guess he doesn't want to . I can see him as being especially annoying. That is partially because I think Americans can have a low tolerance for British who think they are quite something.

I've also seen him when he can be kind of nice sometimes. That would be on the Britain's Got Talent show. He does seem to have a heart. It is kind of like the Grinch.

Self-obsorbed wanker. I am really sick of hearing about you and your stupid show.

Being rude and obnoxious now passes for entertainment......ty europe for exporting your crap to us....once again!

He's playing a role, to great effect and making a fortune.

What qualifies this sack of ordure, and the other douchwad judges on that dreadful TV show to have any insight on what's talent or not, what's entertaining or not?  A used-up tart of a go-go girl, some limey with no discernible track record in the industry, and a token bro taking up space.  The entire American Idol project is obnoxious.  Who watches this crap?

I guess if I would watch the show more often, I would raise his obnoxious rating. It is a sad re-make of the 1950's "Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour," with this sociopath as the most colorful.

He can be cruel, but somebody has to tell them idiots they have no talent! They just never learn.....

He is obnoxious but not as much as he is being an a**hole.

If he is obnoxious, than so am I. I don't think being brutally honest and saying how it is is obnoxious, just straightforward and open. I actually like this man.

Barely hits my radar screen since I don't watch his useless show. However, I'll bet anyone invited to his home would be stunned by the lip prints on his bathroom mirror...just strikes me as someone who would enjoy making out with himself.

I don't watch the show (my wife does) but as I was walking by the TV I said something that made her laugh while this evil-Euro-wannabe was pontificating: "If that guy was drowning, I'd throw him an anchor."

Would you like if somebody criticize you for no apparent reason? No! Criticizing people is not funny. This guy should should be keep out of U.S. public media. He treats American people like dirt!
