I want to write about a side effect I experienced and have not seen anywhere in articles or the internet. After taking Hoodia twice, once in a really cheap, probably mostly fake product, and another in the Dex L-10 supposedly pure product, both times I experienced temporary partial paralysis in my body. The first time in my face, the second time, and most recently numbness and tingling in my fingers and toes. Both times with immediate cessation of the product it went away within a day or so, so I attribute it to the Hoodia. As a person with significant family history of Multiple Sclerosis, it was kind of scary as those can be symptoms of the onset of the disease. Maybe Hoodia just didn't work for me, but I wanted to get this out there in regards to other side effects. Regarding the effectivness, I did notice a decrease in appetite, as in food just didn't sound all that appealing, but I was physically still pretty hungry. I stopped taking the Dex L-10 after about 6 days or so after v... Read more

I tried the "hoodia bites" They are supposedly genuine having the serial number...etc. Please do not waste your money! I would have done better to have just eaten a plain ice cube...they are the nearest next to nothing I have ever seen!!!! WORTHLESS! ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS and I feel like an idiot for having been stupid enough to have tried it...I had seen a good review on another page..but I guess we have to realize..the companies could actually write reviews themselves...there is no one who could actually think these things good!

***********************************UPDATE********** *********** 03-14-06 I have taken this as directed long enough now with no effects I'm sorry to say. Well, atleast the claims of 'no side effects' were true. So far 2 different brands of Hoodia products with no results. I have to wonder if I ever had the 'real thing' or not. Unfortunatly it's trial and error with hoodia products. They all claim their's is the real thing and dis-credit all the others. Who can you believe? If anyone of you find a hoodia products that truely works, Please write a comment letting us know the brand. Also if you tried a brand that did not work, let us know....Thanks :) *Price paid- about $35.00-40.00 for 60 capsules= about a month supply. *************************************************** *********** 01-17-06 I will begin by giving it 5 stars due to the claim of 'no side effects'. I understand there are 60+ different hoodia plant species and only one will help with the diet. Also can take a week ... Read more
