This is a non-issue. The soil was originally owned by Natives. Stolen from them by white people. To ask if it should be illegal is retarded considering nobody has the right to judge.

Hmm! Should they come to our country or stay where they are at is one that sometimes confuses me. If someone is coming because they are running away from their communist country or someone is out to get them, then, it's better to just stay on their side rather than bring trouble to us. Many people think that by coming to USA means freedom. Really? I don't know how cause with all the problems we have here I don't see what freedom there is. I also don't agree with those, especially spanish people who come here and then don't want to learn our language, English. IN fact, they expect US to learn or know their language instead. Not realistic!

Some immigration is great! Like only half of the doctors we need (in the UK) get trained here... I have a suspicion we don't import all of the other half and have to manage with slightly less, but immigration helps. On the other hand, there are a lot of people in England... It'd be nice if a country with a lot more space like, oh I don't know... America was similarly understanding of the necessity of allowing some refugees in as well as the useful members of other societies.

Borders are invisible lines used to seperate us... We were all once "illegal immigrants"... People should be able to go wherever they want and whenever they want. Nobody truly owns any land.

It depends whether it's legal or illegal. Over here in the UK immigration has spiraled out of control over the last ten years due to people coming over here illegally. This causes all types of problems from child trafficking, slavery (yes we have slaves in the 21st century) and prostitution. The saddest thing is that the majority abuse it and ruins it for the minority who genuinely want to build a life here. My Mother and Father came over to the UK in the 60's and they did it the legal way. They either had to work or go home. It was as simple as that. No housing benefits, no legal aid, no job seekers allowance, no handouts, NOTHING. Fast forward thirty years and Tony "Numpty" Blair widened the EU borders as far as Poland and there was absolutely no control or say as to who was coming in. Its the immagrints that built this nation for the americans, and If you notice all the mexican workers, electritians, ect. and without them this country wouldnt be so great. You know what I find funny, americans can go into mexico for fun whenever they want, but many mexicans die (not to mentioned the innocent kid that was shot to death near the borders and he didnt do anything wrong, he didnt cross, but was still killed) just to cross the border everyday to help their families. Ok, I am giving this 5 stars, because this country was built on immigration, so I very much believe in immigration. But I do need to specify where my views go from Politically Correct to not -so- PC. What I don't believe in is Illegal immigration, because for one, it's called illegal for a reason. If I didn't something illegal I would be punished, so if someone comes to this country illegally they should be at the very least fined and sent to the back of the line to apply to come here legally. The thing is, we have enough criminals already, I just don't see what the harm is in making sure that people who immigrate here are coming here to make a better life for themselves and to add something to our society. The United States is very multi-cultural, and that is a great thing, but I know if I was coming to this country I would want to do it with honor, so I could integrate into society and even add my own culture to it. Our forefathers each IMMIGRATED here to escape their own countrymen. The only people who should be able to be pissed about immigration ( and that includes every other race) are the Indians.

Legal Immigration

As nation of immigrants we must welcome those who come to our shores in need of freedom and peace. As long as they adhere to immigration laws and are integrated into our society by accepting the customs of culture, which includes learning a proficiency of the English language. Those who enter illegally should not be granted amnesty of any kind, and should be considered criminals, which they are. They broke laws put in place and should be detained. Now we have over 13 million illegals in this country today. The best way to solve this problem is to fine a hefty sum to all businesses that hire an illegal alien. If this was enforced it would dry up the jobs offered to illegal aliens and they would have no choice but go home, because we would have nothing more to offer them. now illegal immigration is different. I say, if they come to America to BE an American, that's great. But if they are just coming here, taking jobs, putting their kids in school without being a legal citizen and paying taxes, all while waving another flag instead of the American flag...then no. It doesn't help at all.

I think people who immigrate into the united states, often go under the radar, and can potientally take jobs from citizens taht are legal, and with an educational background that supports their job. Legal immigration is fine, and i even encourage it. All of our family's were immigrants at one point.

This is America. We are the envy of the world because of open mindedness, diverse thoughts, practices and ethnicities. Beside that, every person that lives here, excluding the American Indians, Eskimos and Mexicans are here because of immigration from another land.

NONE of us would be here if someone hadn't immigrated to the US. However - there are aspects that need to be considered so that people aren't here illegally - forever - living off the system. (though there are plenty that are LEGAL citizens that live off of it)

With the exception of Native Americans...we all came from somewhere else at one time or another...that is what made our country what it is...a beautiful mosaic of culture.

I do not mind if the person is legal with all forms of documents to be in this country just as I have. But a large majority of immigrants are not legalized.

Honestly, the border security is deplorable. If you knew me, you'd know that I'm a die hard liberal, however, allowing our borders to be so easily trespassed is extremely dangerous. As for the 12m illegals already in here, we can't deport them all. That's absurd.
