05/26/2008 | Scanning through this list, I'm surprised at how much godawful schmaltz gurgled to the surface in the 60's. This one is schmaltzier than Don't Sleep in the Subway by a smidge.

11/05/2005 | I love this song! Back in the 60s, girl pop singers were required to have at least a modicum of singing talent. Petula Clark had a voice like an angel, and "Downtown" is a winner. It's catchy and infectious.
